Extended Stay-Great Value with tradeoffs We had an amazing rate at Extended Stay for a Friday and Saturday night in Santa Barbara. The front desk staff are top notch, more about them later. It is good for guests to know that many things you might expect are absent or extra - daily housekeeping has a fee, wifi has an upgrade, no ice machine. Needs updating. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms, kitchenettes and bathrooms need updating. And there was a power outage in the morning during our stay, but it seems everyone including the hotel didn’t know about it. We were checking out that day anyway, so no big deal, but I don’t know exactly how long power was out and everyone was inconvenienced since they didn’t have a back up generator.

Could have been better When booking my reservation, it stayed free breakfast. Which it wasn’t, I called days prior to visit and ask how would the view from my room be. The representative share you have the park in lot or trees, I said that it, she shared you can see a little mountains and trees I shared that will be nice. She said ok I can find a room for you when you arrive. Customer service upon arrival was great. I received a courtesy call of available early checkin as promised. My room was fresh smelling with the air-conditioning on.
