Extended Stay Santa Rosa North We would stay here again as the room is clean, layout is good, the location is great, and it is convenient to our son's home. The staff was very helpful and we were able to check in early. We have stayed here 3 time. The first two were excellent. However, we did have some minor problems this time: Not a complete set of Silverware, we shared a spoon. No dish soap. No shampoo or cream rinse. No filters for coffee maker. I wanted to just get away from home for a while and this was great in town stay. I really appreciated the free wi-fi. My only negative is that I wish the rooms had sheer curtains between the window and black-out curtains. That would have allowed me to let natural light in without everyone passing by greeting a full view of the room.

Comfortable and convenient for price For being a relatively inexpensive hotel it was quite comfortable, the room was very clean, not even a spot on the sink or coffee pot. It's right on Mendocino Ave which is a major street in the city, which also puts it right next to the 101. However, the room did not have some of the small toiletries you would expect such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Decent hotel. Decent price. Surrounding neighborhood was quiet. Hotel & room were clean. Common areas (hallways & elevator) did smell like cigarette smoke. PUR filtration on kitchen sink was a plus. Conveniently located to freeway, fast food and grocery stores. Front desk staff interaction was minimal and not as friendly as you would like from a hotel when you're on vacation. Hard to find! The hotel staff admits most of the guests have a hard time finding the hotel. That's because there aren't any large hotel signs and the building itself is behind trees, etc. If you decide to stay there, take note. It is on the southeast corner of Fountaingrove Pkwy and Mendocino Ave. If you are heading east on the Mendocino Overcrossing, go thru the traffic light at the intersection with Mendocino Ave, and then take the next right turn (immediately after going thru the traffic light). Excellent hotel, but difficult to find the driveway, especially at night. The sign is too high up to be easily seen from the street. A street-level sign should be placed at the driveway. Hotel staff very helpful in recommending restaurants.

Could have used the little extra of shampoo/conditioner and coffee in the room. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee. The "breakfast" was minimul. The addition of juice, milk and small box cold cereal at the least would have been helpful.
