No As Good As We Had Hoped We stayed at the WodSpring Suites Charleston Ashley Phosphate August 17-22, 2017. We were in town to move my daughter into school CSU and it was also the eclipse, so things were busy/crowded. Check in was difficult; we had to wait on another couple in front of us and it seemed to take an inordinate amount of time. Also, we had just driven several hundred miles and needed a restroom. Awful After visiting friends and hoping to settle in for the evening we arrived to an abandoned registration desk. At 11 pm on a holiday weekend we couldn't find anyone on the staff to help us as the lobby was overrun by college students partying and a few guys smoking by the entrance. Most hotels were sold out and we were forced to phone a relative to help us out with a a s to stay 45 mins away ! AWFUL

Never even made it to the room, It was that bad! Many people loitering outside when I arrived. A person with no access card came and went many times with in 20 minutes, each time asking random guests for access to the building. I waited 20+ minutes to check in as there was no attendant on duty when I got there. I had to call twice and still no response. I had been driving all day and it was 10:30 at night when we arrived. Thumbs down! This was the worst place I have ever stayed. We encountered roaches that we fought with spray, that we bought, for all of our 5 day stay! We purchased sheets because we did not trust the cleanliness of theirs after the sheets were covered in hair. Would definitely have moved if we could have found another place. There were sketchy folk hanging around the entrance later in the evenings. The staff did seem friendly and one lady in particular was outstanding.

Stay away!! What a dump! No soap, no shampoo, only 1 bath towel, 1 wash towel and 0 hand towels. The front desk closes at 8PM. There was a chicken bone in the elevator all night and still there in the morning. The bathtub was half full of water because the faucet was leaking and the stopper was closed. I had to pull with all my strength on the little handle that diverts the water from the faucet to the shower head.

Disappointed and appalled potential guest Cancelled our reservation upon arrival. Drug dealing was happening as we pulled into the parking lot. Multiple people hanging around outside, some wandering back and forth near vehicles. Arrived just after midnight, had to wait in the lobby over 30 mins for front desk staff. When she arrived, she didn't greet us, offer an apology for the wait or really acknowledge us, seemed annoyed. THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE. MAINLY THE NIGHT STAFF. The bathroom wasn T as clean as it could of been because I did it myself when I checked in.

Arrived to room that was filled with smoke residue. Grandson has asthma.specified no smoking. First night not a good one. Won't suggest to anyone, won't try to ever come there again. Not at all like the pics. BEWARE.Dasia, an employee made my stay tolerable.
