Front desk often not available due to the hotel’s short staffing. Front desk person often has to help in housekeeping, so can’t stay at front. Very slow check in process. Staff needs more training.
Had reservation. Desk clerk, who also seemed to double as housekeeping staff, sends us to room 303 and says he'll have to bring us sheets. Room had not been cleaned. Dirty sheets were still on bed and dirty towels were on bathroom floor. We refused the room. Clerk then sends us to room 304, saying he knows it is clean. I was about to check in to the hotel but was told that I could not be accomudated. They sent me to another Extended stay that had a room available. They charged me for both hotels! It took 2 days of talking to Hotels com and extended stay to get them to realize that I needed a refund for the hotel I was sent away from because they could not accomudated me. This is the second time this has happened to me using hotels.com
