Well, there are two star hotels and then there are two star hotels that are really really clean, Extended StayAmerica on 2100 South has clean rooms and kind of a dirty no, a very dirty exterior. I think they were just about to power wash after my two weeks stay but it was long overdue. The sidewalks and all the garbage cans get emptied and swept , but not scrubbed. The manager and front desk are never wanting to give a resolution when a complaint is made, a call return or update is never given the customer always has to follow up and find their own resolution to fixing a shower curtain issue (whole rod and screws were loosely attached when we checked in), getting clean linens/towels, remote control with tape loosely attaching batteries within, and dealing with cockroaches in the room. We stayed at the ************ location. Except for the General Manager ******** our stay was horrendous. Totally unsafe I think 3 people died at the hotel during our stay. You couldnt go into the parking lot without witnessing a drug deal and the rooms, so dingy, dark and moldy. I could hear conversations from 5 rooms down. When we first checked in we had no hot water for 2 weeks, it seemed like someone was smoking in every room. Its really sad. ********* really trying to clean up the property, shell never make it. The room was clean. The amenities are non existent. The kitchen is useless unless you by the pots and dishes to use it, and there is no coffee pot.

I give this place a negative ************. One hotel room. 1. Doors propped open with rocks- probably because the key card deactivates constantly. 2. Anyone can come in. 3. Moldy black rubber seal on fridge that didnt seal. 4. Bathroom handles broken on both sides of the door. 5. Tub drain cover missing. Old hotel, shuttle took 30 minutes or more each time it was needed. Many people just wondering around hotel. Smells disgusting and rooms need upgrading. There was fighting at lobby and police on scene. Just not a good experience over all.

The front desk lady that checked us in was amazingly kind and knowledgeable. That's about the best I can say. There was blood stains on the bed sheets and comforter. Had I not had my own sheets and blankets I would've thrown a fit. I'm pretty easy going. When checking out I asked when the security deposit would be credited back to my card and the manager very rudely yelled to the front desk guy that my room has to be checked before anything gets credited back like I was a degenerate who broke things. Room have a bad smell...and the toilet was not flushing...We went for breakfast at 9:25am and there was no breakfast....
