Won't be back Poor customer skills at the front desk. Strong cooking smells in the hallways. Food smell in the room. Room was not very nice. Found a lot of left over hair in the shower from the previous guest. The shower obviously had not been cleaned. Made me doubt the maid service in general. Free continental breakfast was a joke. Why bother. I won't be back

Roughing it. When I checked in at 2pm my room was not ready. It was by 3pm but it had no soap, shampoo or other amenities. These had to be asked for at the front desk, including an ash tray as it was a smoking room. The next day when I returned from work, there was no maid service so I had to make my own bed, wash my dishes and clean up. No new towels or coffee were offered.

No a good place My room was filthy. Dust and dirt on the laps. My room did not smell very good. My bed made me itch. The bed was not comfortable. There were bugs in my room. Everything was outdated. Just an awful week to have to spend in an awful hotel. I think there are better deals to be found.

Don't even think about it. Where do I start-- Blood on the sheets, torn mattresses . Funky smells, I had to go buy some febreze. The hotel actually ran out of toilet paper and I had to run to store to by more. You have been warned.

Screaming Infant BEWARE!!!!!! I traveled over 10 hours through the night due to my infant, to arrive at this hotel with no one to come to the door or desk after an hour of me calling the 1-800 number and beating on the door . Finally someone came to the door only to find out he had been sleeping! The room was so gross I wouldn't even take a shower or bath !!!! I explained to the front desk what happened, a manager is yet to call me. Please spend your money else where. Don't make my mistake!

Absolutely horrible The hotel was disgusting. It certainly wasn't maintained well and or cleaned regularly. The three nights I was there not once did I come back to a clean room. I asked the cleaning ladies every morning to make sure to clean my room and it was never done. The staff at the front desk were horrible as well. I ask them about the surrounding area: where is the local fast food chains? gas stations? metro stations? they put up a list and said there was no fast food near, that only this one gas station, and only o... read more

Homestead Suites Alexandria The hotel is dated. The beds are low to the floor and decor is less than expected for the price. It smelled like dog (I love dogs, but the lobby shouldn't smell like one) and the hallways had the odor of fried food. Compared to a Homewood Suites or any other extended stay hotel, it is way below par. For the price it is borderline OK, but don't expect any more than that.
