There was spilled coffee all over the air conditioner and coffee rings on the counter and the floor was dirty when we checked into our room, although there was a postcard on the bed saying the manager himself had checked out room for cleanliness and freshness.

The only thing convenient about this hotel is it's location. It wasn't very clean; the lobby smelled pungent and so did my room. My room wasn't very clean; there were stains on the blankets, holes in the bath tub, the bathroom door could be pushed open and didn't lock. An outlet was broken, there was a hole in the wall by the door, the bathroom knob was broken, the toilet paper was obviously not a new roll. Great facilities except the carpet in hallways and my room (probably others) is way past replacing or deep professional cleaning. Gave room and hallways an overall damp smell. Great place otherwise. Fix this and you can compete at even higher rates.

I like the concept, but customer service is terrible. The people at the front desk should be told that the customers are paying their salary.

You get what you pay for I know this area well as I usually stay in a more expensive, higher-star hotel for work. However, I was looking for a cheaper place just to sleep for a night while traveling. The location is good for being close to the highway. The area seemed secure. The room is what you would expect for a cheap hotel. Clean for its age and without a strong smoke smell despite previously allowing smoking in some rooms. So for the price, I would recommend.
