Not smoke free. Check in was easy. We reserved a smokefree room. Asked for it again as we registered. The room we were given was definitely not smoke free. There were cigarette burns on the drapes on bedding and on the bathroom counter. The grab and go breakfast had granola bars, muffins, hot cocoa, tea, and coffee. Great front desk service but dirty and broken down The air didnt work in first room. Switched across the hall where there was trash under both bed, air conditioner leaked on half floor took them two days to fix wouldnt move us because they claimed to be book when they had rooms available. They didnt have forks or even 4 plates when they are supposed to have all kitchen utensils. If it wasnt a emergency due to getting my house exterminated for ants we would have left. Oh, God. Where do I begin? The room was a bit shabby and had a strange smell, but since it was late when I checked in, I decided not to make a big stink. The next morning, I realize that the hand-held shower head in my ADA compliant room was broken and wouldn't attach to the wall. I reported it to the front desk, but when I got back in the evening, it still wasn't fixed. Then, as I was about to go to bed, I moved the pillow and discovered a bedbug underneath. No smoking smells of smoke- as does the lobby. Place was sparse but clean & quiet yet the stake dmoke was everywhere. Breakfast was coffee & coffee mate plus a suger muffin

The hotel is fine. The rooms are nice, clean enough and the staff is pretty nice (even if it is terribly understaffed). The problem with this hotel is that it does not feel safe at all. At all times you can find people drinking outside, drink bottles trashed everywhere around it, and police patrolling regularly. I didn't see violence, but I wouldn't have been surprised if I had. So, I didn't feel too unsafe, but it was pretty unsettling to be there. I was very happy when we left.
