during my needed hvac service, they were excellent, staying on top of the issue and making it happen
Out of the 2 times we have used Landmark, only one time has been helpful. While Landmark says they are quick to help, when there is a problem with their service providers, they are extremely slow with answers and help. We had a major problem with their sub contractors. The subcontractor diagnosed our home with a problem that was far from true. We used to have another warranty that didn't cover as much as Landmark does. The have always been able to answer our calls and they sent people out right away. The most recent time when we had to call them was because our toilet wasn't flushing. After my husband tried to plunge it, we decided to call them. They gave us a plumber's number and he came out and fixed it, the toilet worked fine after that.
I've only used the service a couple of times with two claims, but they have been helpful. A drain clogged, I contacted them, and they had somebody out the next day. It's an added peace of mind to know that you have insurance. It feels good to have that coverage.
The service was chosen for me and we used it when we moved into our house.
The folks at Landmark were eager to help. They recommended a reputable contractor whom i have used before and the contractor did an excellent Job. Landmark does not dicker around with petty stuff. They are very straight forward.
Sometimes it's good to have this home warranty. For example, the A/C was worth it, but getting my oven repaired was too much to go through them. I could just get a new one. You still have to pay them to have the service, plus pay a service call fee, and also pay whenever they send somebody out. Besides that, their customer support is fine. They answer the phone, and respond in a timely manner. I've had no problem with that.
We've had good experiences, we haven't had any problems; everyone is really nice. The only thing is that they're not very good with entering the information in their computer, so if I talk to someone, you have to send your house inspection even though it had already been sent before, but that was the only thing. We were not happy with American Home and we wanted to try a different company, so we just went with them. Landmark is really good about giving is a good idea of what's going on during the repair or replacement process. Usually they sent us a survey for feedback about the process and the contractor as well in terms of their professionalism, service, and efficiency.
