We do not recommend Landmark Home Warranty. They denied a claim for AC blower fan on our new home due to prior maintenance which was not our responsibility since we purchased the home in July 2018. They find every excuse to not provide and support you despite their fancy brochure claims. Please read the fine print. We will not renew nor do we recommend. The AC company said American Home Shield would have covered the same issue no questions asked....wish we would have chosen them instead.
Caused damage and then did not cover it.
Attempts to force customer to use contractors that are not timely and show up in unmarked vehicles; attempts to force customer to choose very costly options when less costly options are stated as clearly available by contractor to customer. Its like the Warranty Mafia.
I asked for everything like smoke detectors to be covered and find out after paying for it for about a year they are not.
Quality of contractors they select and a no hassell approach with their customers.
I’m not sure how to rate LMHW. The issue we had was mostly the vendor. They gave us a 4 hr window and an hr before the time frame was up, they cancelled and said “hopefully we can get to you on our next business day.” (This was Friday, would have been Monday- plumbing issue.) After I took off work to be there. LMHW took 25 min of putting me hold to finally agree to refund our deductible, and said “sorry for the inconvenience.” Never did they try to find another vendor. The worse customer service and I have to work to communicate my concerns with people who don’t listen. Frustrated
We are presently having a very sub-par experience with Landmark's service
When you have a service call, they either find a way to deny the claim or the home warranty only covers a small percentage of the services. I don't see the value in having Landmark Home Warranty over having no home warranty at all.
