We took our kids here for dinner when we were visiting Boston for the night. It was very hot inside. The restaurant was DIRTY. Stains all over the walls in the booth we were sitting in. The floors were covered with stains and sticky. The server was friendly and polite, same with the cooks. I just could not get over how dirty and gross the restaurant was.
Took kids thinking they’d enjoy the experience but could hardly get over the fact that this place looks like it’s 50 years old inside. Dirty and worn-down fixtures, dirty bathrooms and furniture and totally lackadaisical staff made the ‘experience’ feel like waiting in line for slop at the mess-hall. Greens at the salad bar were beyond wilted and brown. Background reggeaton and country music mix tried to liven things up but only made the experience all the more confusing. It was good but I put in my reservation that it was my boyfriends birthday and they didn’t even acknowledge it.
My kids and I love Fire & Ice. Overall I have good things to say about it. Unfortunately on the Wednesday when we were there for lunch there was clearly someone missing on the grill. There was only one guy running the grill (he was great) but short handed, they had to have the hostesses or whoever they were( nicely dressed) help on the grill and while they worked really hard and I don’t fault them the food suffered. Worst restaurant I have booked with open table Dirty,filthy venue Carpets Grungy Tables sticky. Dirty Food presented poorl Sanitation poor Tasteless mixture of Mongolian bbq not Worth eating I am thankful that no one in our party of 6 got sick Stay away from this dump
It was great except my friends hand getting burned by the plate coming off the grill. The cook's spatula had hot grease or something on it and he scraped the spatula across the edge of the plate. When she grabbed the plate it burned her. I asked the manager for band aids and burn cream and she didn't even ask why. Over all a good night, just beware when you grab your plates
Although our waiter was excellent, the managerial staff at the Berkeley Street location definitely needs work. I made a reservation for party of 5 at 7:30pm to celebrate my birthday. We were kept waiting for HALF AN HOUR. We were not offered seats while we waited and were left to stand in front of the door. Inexpensive for the amount of food you can get. The cooks were great and fun but many of the waitstaff were rude and unhelpful.
Been coming to Fire+Ice every year to celebrate daughter’s bday. Over the last couple of years, the quality and service have declined enormously. The cooks use to be fun to watch and interactive but now they seem miserable to be there and just plane rude. This poor woman next to me was talking to her family when the cook was checking if the sauce in front of her was hers. I understand he had to check but his tone was aggressive and just rude.
