Made a reservation for 2. People who showed up after us with a later reservation kept getting seated before us. We kept being told, “You’re next” for them to then turn around and sit someone else down. The party next to us was extremely loud and I could barely get by to get into my seat because they had their seats pushed out so far. A girl next to me took my plate of food after it was handed to me. She literally took it out of my hands. I told her and the guy who cooked the food that it was mine, but neither cared. The bath... read more

I had made reservations for 10 people one was a child, I made this reservation more than a week in advance. They called and confirmed my reservation the day of, and said they would have a high chair at the table as well. Reservation was for 4:30pm, they called us to go upstairs at about 5pm, once we got to desk upstairs they told us there was a mistake and to go back downstairs. We went downstairs waiting about another 30-40 minutes before we went to the desk downstairs and asked when we can sit, they had forgotten and then ... read more

We made a reservation for 6:15. We arrived at fire + ice at 6:00. We were told that there was a longer wait and we wouldn’t be able to be seated right away, I asked how long and they said probably 30 minutes. Many large groups came in after us(including a group of 25 people) none of whom had reservations, but all of which were seated before us. I asked the hostess about this, and she said it was because they didn’t have any tables for 2 available. Total the wait was an hour (30 minutes longer than they estimated). Once we we... read more

I have enjoyed better meals at my daughter's dining hall, which this restaurant reminded me of. Noise level, seating, food stations, and the clientele were the epitome of a college cafeteria. Correction: this place is louder. Food had good flavor, but I got skeeved out by the pasta being handled by people's fingers when the tongs didn't work. Ew. Sat ten minutes before a server came over. Finished meals before bar drinks arrived. Go to Panera around the block.

Business response:

Hello Meaghan, Thank you for visiting and sharing your experience. We are truly saddened to hear of your disappointing visit. Monday nights are indeed our college night where we offer a discount to students, this particular Monday being a holiday and the start of February Vacation for MA public schools we can wholeheartedly sympathize with your experience! We would like to connect with you and show you a true FiRE+iCE experience. Please reach out to us at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

The front desk greeters are rude. They told us we needed to wait for our table to be ready which was fine, but then sat 3 groups ahead of us, group 1 had 24 people, group 2 had 15 people and group 3 had 8 people. That forced us into a small table in the corner. I asked for another table and they said they didn't have another table.

Business response:

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to share your experience. Our team works hard to make the best possible experience for our guests and we're disappointed to hear this was not the case during your visit. Waited for our waitress who never came until walked back up to the hostess to make it known no one has approached our table and how other tables that were seated after us had already been serviced. Waitress finally showed up and was courteous however she never Appleseed again and we had to ask the host for our bill which we paid there at the podium.

Business response:

The valentines deal was a joke. It says you get a dessert but the dessert was three measly little cookies. Definitely not worth it. I love this restaurant but that was just ridiculous

The restaurant has been renovated. It’s completely lost it’s ambiance (the tables and chairs are really cheap looking) and the food selection has gone way down. We were surprised because we are frequent customers.

After 20years in our historic location we are excited to make some updates and renovations.
