This whole experience was a disaster. The lack of follow through and communication between the various departments cost us both time and money

it took 5 months to complete the refinance. The communication between underwriting-Mr. Sommese's staff and the Title company was very inefficient. It took intervention by a customer service representative to make any progress. Confusion on how to handle titling of a trust held property led to unnecessary legal fees, delay requiring resubmission of financial documents, time consuming correspondence, endless phone calls ---all in the face of superior loan to value and superior credit.

Frank was good to work with, but the team supporting the whole transaction was challenging. Very poor communicaiton, questions would go unanswered, incomplete and vague requests for information, and the transaction took substantially longer than had been communicated with no proactive followup.

I asked questions you answered via email or call. However after you past the info to the upper level my loan was stalled, no communication for very long time after I had provided everything they needed. My loan was scheduled for closing on Jan 18th. Finally my loan was approved on Feb 25th. It took too long!!!

People representing Mutual of Omaha seemed untrained and inexperienced. On two occasions when such people made mistakes, Sommese, instead of admitting and correcting the mistake, invented incorrect & untrue explanations to justify someone else's error. Sommese always was available promptly & cheerfully when needed. However, this does not balance even slightly the dangerous habit of inventing untrue explanations for errors of others. Christian Winston always was correct and helpful.

Frank Sommese, but his assistant Rachael needs a little professional communication and customer service training. Specifically, she told me to google my mortgage payment when I questioned the breakdown of principle and interest; and when I requested an amortization table. Very unprofessional. All business offices are only as strong as their front office. If your front office is unprofessional, you will lose business.

Never dealt with Frank, never spoke with him. He did not help in my mortgage refi process. A process which took his team 4+ months to accomplish. I would not recommend Frank. My only interaction with him was Frank lying to me about my rate and rate lock.. luckily he put it in writing, and his bosses honored what was promised, but only after some back and forth. Will tell you whatever you want to hear to start the refi process, and you will never hear from him again, until he asks for a review.
