I enjoy the app and it has the controls I need. BUT please test updates with us in TestFlight before pushing out updates. This latest version crashes (on iOS 15.4) whenever I try to update the Lock mode schedule. Every time. That’s really unacceptable.
Overall I love this app. It’s so nice to keep track of my kids and to be able to communicate with them. Sometimes the GPS doesn’t work right and that is frustrating but most of the time it’s really great!
We have two for our kids. We love everything that they are able to do and everything they are not. The fatal flaw, however, is that there is no backup battery with which to locate a missing Gabb. So when your kid miss places it, which he will, the battery runs down and the device is completely dead and silent. There’s no way to locate it. I wish it had a backup a battery so dead Gabbs could be found.
We are so pleased to have an alternative to getting an Apple Watch… where a child can view porn. The gabb watch is safe and we are very pleased that our children are able to call us when they need to
This is a great watch/phone to stay in touch with my young one. It has one glaring flaw though. They allow you to set a “Home” area for the watch, and if your child leaves it you get an immediate alert. Makes me feel safe letting them play in our neighborhood. However, the app constantly sends me notifications my child has left our home area even when she is physically in my house. They had me factory reset the phone, didn’t work. The gps is accurate within 20 yards which is good for the quality of the phone. If you want to have the full 10 contacts leave off photos or you only get 8 due to storage limitations. Is perfect for my 10 And 7 year old I can track them and they can contact the important people plus one contact you can add if they are with a friend.
This app is working well for my teens (almost 14&16) and me. It took me a bit to set up the app on the phones, but, though I’m not tech savvy, I figured it out. We’ve been using it for a week. I picked the option with just texting - no MMS/group texting, and no photo or video sharing. So happy I did! I googled how to find the QR code. We got one for our 7 year old and 9 year old for Christmas. It barely came in today, which is fine due to the holiday season. The only issue we have is, the MyGabb app lets us assign 10 people (including myself and my husband as guardians), however, only 7 of the contacts show up on both watches. I have tried to turn off and back on the watches. I went through the contacts in the app to see if anything was wrong… each child has 8 contacts, myself and my husband which makes 10. I absolutely love the Gabb phone for my son. The app is another story. Logs out all the time and logging back in is slow. I hate that I have to use the website for the majority of things and I really wish I could change what the app notifies me about (I don’t care to get a notification every time the phone needs charged 🙄).
