I had an amazing customer service experience yesterday at the Gene Juarez Tacoma location. Jasmine at the spa front desk is the definition of 5 star customer service. She went above and beyond! Nail Technician, Loann is an absolute gem! She gave me the best manicure I've ever had! These two ladies are an asset to the company!l

Today I went to Gene Juarez in Tacoma for the first time and had such an amazing experience. When you walk in you are greeted with a beverage. I chose the tea and it was delicious! You change into a robe then get pampered. I got an all over custom color. My hair stylist, Sunny, helped me pick out the perfect color. I'll definitely be back!!

The gal that I've seen here the past few times left, BUT I found a new gal right away! Erika is fantastic! I was a little nervous, but she was easy to talk with about what I was looking to do with my hair and she had good follow up questions to make sure I relayed exactly what I wanted. The end result was a fabulous hair cut and hopefully a long time customer from me. She was also very hilarious and relatable and made me feel comfortable all the way through.

After three years of going to the same stylist, I was extremely worried when he told me he was out of town. However I needed to get a haircut before Las Vegas Trip but didn't want to look like Mr. Supercuts, so I called Gene Juarez! They hooked me up with Darian, a female hair stylist. She asked me what I wanted. My only response was that I didn't want it to look like I just got a haircut and I didn't want her using clippers, just shears. She did an unbelievable job and I'll be seeing her again! Ask for her guys!

COLOR? SHAYLA! I revised in 2013 and I am doing again 2016. Don't take a chance on your color. I'm reading all these horror stories! H E L L O! You will not go wrong with Shayla.. I promise! SOO Good.. You will need to schedule a week out to get in.. Worth every penny! Oh and Heidi for brows, but I think everyone already knows that! I can never get in to see her. Always booked..

This is a great place for hair services for single/childless adults. I LOVE MY GJ STYLIST (Drew)!! That being said, it is a disservice to her and their other talented, kind, understanding, and friendly stylists and colorists that they have to depend on this front desk staff. On several occasions (about six in my last three years in WA) they have been horrendous to deal with. They are grossly misinformed and at times completely unaware of the services or products that the salon offers, it is a huge debacle to have my children... read more

Good overall, although room for improvement. The spa is pretty good and massage therapists are excellent and attentive to your needs. Interior decor could use some improvement.

Went here for the first time tonight. The staff was very accommodating as I was a bit last minute. Loann was a total doll. She was very thorough during my spa manicure and made good conversation. My hands look great! I will definitely return. The only thing I would question is that for the paraffin wax treatment my hands were dipped directly into the wax and I wonder how sanitary that is.

My stylists, Jackson, who specializes in curly hair, is the sweetest, nicest person ever! She was actually fixing a prior haircut that I had received somewhere else. I was worried that she was going to have to cut more off (which I wanted to keep as much length as possible) but after she asked me a few simple questions at the beginning, she started to work her magic and I was blown away by the end result.
