My experience was alright. Nothing fabulous, nothing below standard. It was my first time at Gene Juarez and being that quite a few friends have recommended this place, I decided to read the reviews and go with Drew. She seemed skilled and knowledgeable and she was easy to talk to. I have a one sided asymmetrical bob and I needed the back blended. The customer service is amazing but overall I love my hair when I leave. I get my color and style here and every time it's exactly what I want!
I went to the Spa in Tacoma to get a Massage. I have to say if you are lookiing for the BEST massage ever, ask for Josh. I have had many, many massages and he is the best, by far, that I have ever had.

Gene Juarez can be hit and miss, but with some experimentation, I've discovered a fantastic stylist who does perfect hair! Drew is a genius. She looks at one's head like a lump of clay, skillfully shaving away the excess until she has carved (trimmed) her masterpiece. Don't bother bringing in a picture or any preconceived ideas. I just went to this salon for the first time and it is clear why these salons are highly rated! I had Elaine for highlights and Edward for a haircut- and they are both AMAZING! My hair is natural blonde and was I boxed dyed it brown over the summer. Elaine was able to lighten my hair to a beautiful natural looking color, even lighter than my natural hair color. Edward was able to fix a bad haircut I had to let grow out and worked so quickly. Seriously amazing work!
This review is for Drew who has cut my hair for the last 2 years. I love her! She is so sweet and funny, with a great bubbly personality. She always remembers what we had previously talked about-which I found amazing because I only went in maybe 3x a year. My haircuts were fabulous and she cut them in a way that even as my hair grew out-it still looked great. Got a facial and it was great! Loved the relaxing elements before the facial too (food bath etc). I also loved that they didn't try to sell me a million products after my treatment! Cant wait to go back...*hint to my husband for Christmas!*
