I always come here because no matter what they get it right. I see Heather whom is a senior stylist worth every penny and some. I like Heather because she is not only extremely talented in what she does, she's an artist. I always leave looking exactly the way I want to. I have super long blonde curly thick hair which isn't the easiest to cut or style. I love sultry hair and she is the QUEEN of sexy hair. I previously work at the SouthCenter GJ nearly 10 years ago during college- and have come in to different GJs since leaving from time to time. Once you have an employee discount- it tends to be hard to actually have to pay for services. I recently came in for a haircut and color and saw Sienna for color and Mariah for the cut. A downside to moving would have to be trying to find a new salon, especially when times before I had been assured the stylists had experience with blonde hair and fine hair only to have my hair turned brown/red and so distressed I thought it was going to start falling out. Needless to say my hesitation to try any salon has left my hair even more damaged with my lack of trims and at home box coloring/bleaching. I have been searching for a good fit with a hairstylist since moving to the PNW in 2007. I joined yelp and am writing this review on my phone just because I am *so* happy with the people I found at Gene Juarez in Tacoma! I absolutely love this place! You get what you pay for, no doubt. What fantastic service, I always feel like such a princess when I go here. Whether it's for my nails, hair, or another fabulous service, I always leave feeling special and pampered. I can't wait to go back!

I see Shayla for color and Drew for my haircuts. Been going here for a year and a half now. They are so personable, lovely ladies that are amazing with hair. I been able to grow my hair out because Drew understands that's what I want to do. Unlike other stylist I've gone to that cut off to much. Shayla is amazing with color and is always up to doing something a little different. I've had such great service and ease with making appointments. I enjoy coming here its my time just for me.

I really like Gene Juarez Salons! I have been to three different ones now, and I like them all!=) You always get great service and professional treatment. I always leave there very pleased. My favorite thing to do is their express blow dry style. If I have a special occassion (such as a Christmas party), I can walk in and have them wash and dry my hair. I am in and out in 30 minutes. They style it while they are drying it! It looks great, it is fast, and affordable!

I have super curly hair, and it's short. I blow it out. Lets just say finding a great stylist is a wee bit tricky. In a pinch I called hoping for a same day appointment. They fitted me in with Sophie. She took her time and gave me a fabulous cut. Very pleased.
