DONT GO WITH THEM! Gave 5 stars just so this message doesn't get filtered out! It was time to renew with them and gave me the worst rates posible. (thats not the problem) they kept the whole credit from what I created from my solar!!!! Rep said "You didn't use it and since you canceled you lost it" WOW!!! Now you have been warned. Their customer service is slow and sometimes unintelligible. They are violating Texas laws regarding past due payment grace periods for the elderly. They kept my $140 deposit despite my following their requirements to the letter. I have cut my energy bill 50% by dropping Gexa and going to a plan found for me by ****** ****.

I decided to cancel with GEXA because their are advertised rates are deceptive and after getting a $400 bill in a small place that I live in I started digging deeper. After looking thoroughly through their rate sheet I realized that unlike other companies, their advertised rate does not include the TDU delivery charges for electricity, and therefore you end up paying way more than the advertise rate, even with their so called credit that they give you every month. ABSOLUTE WORST customer SERVICE. They are liars and went out of their way to disconnect my new service. They have caused me sooooooo much problems with trying to get service. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
Deceptive practices on a plan that clearly states a price per Kilowatt hour. After an hour on the phone with multiple employees I understood that the price per KWH is DOUBLE what I thought it was if I don't hit exactly a specific number each billing period. Terrible greed that knows no bounds. Lost another customer permanently, and hopefully anyone that reads all of these 1 star reviews will quickly understand to stay away from this company.
The prices listed online attracted me, but when I switched to this power company, my electric bill doubled in the first month, and I think that may be why I haven't had a chance to get the points yet. Bait and switch with the plan pricing. When you call to figure out what's going on they will change your plan, because they know they are scamming people, but they won't let you see the energy facts label or any plan documents before you agree to the new plan. Buyer beware....
Horrible!!! We requested an itemized statement because every month we are paying the amount requested and displayed online. You cannot change the amount to pay. 2-3 days after, we always receive a disconnect notice for an additional amount of $230-$380 more to be paid in the same month. No empathy, no assistance and no one speaks English….Maria the supervisor could not answer. Robbery….Run fast!!!!
