Customer service is terrible, does not communicate with the customer. I found a better company with better rates, so I decided to go. I called after receiving my bill to set up a payment arrangement customer service did not help as the account was still active. I was told their collection department will contact me to get this sorted out. I called again and did not get helped. I did not received a call, an email, or letter to get this resolved. Gexa ***** *******program is a scam. They don't tell you how much to reduce usage during the time they give you. So, you can't gain points or reduce your bill. I talked to 4 reps who could not explain the program or how I would know what my usage is normally or how to check if I have earned points!!!!!

Worst energy company I have experienced. I prefer budget billing to keep my monthly bills averaged. GEXA employees messed this up and out of the blue told me I had to pay the balance or get shut off. This was not an ongoing conversation but was literally from one bill to the next. The whole point of budget bill I g was to make sure a cost spiked bill did t occur and pay deficits over time. We should have looked at these reviews before switching… our bill with another company was always 200 dollars now with Gexa it’s 600. Same house same usage everything. We got scammed with the false advertising of cheaper rates. We’ve had issue after issue. We mailed in a payment and they claim the check was returned but they took the money. So we had to pay again or get electricity turned off. We do that now we have to wait 10 days to see if they will credit the account. Even though they already cashed a check. Gexa Energy is one of worse utility companies. My bill with them is the highest and continues to go up. When I picked Gexa as my utility provider No one was living in my house only thing that was running is air conditioner but a bill was higher that when someone actually lives in daily. Other companies l had before were better than Gexa. I’ve been in my home for many years and never in my life had such a high bill. I noticed a higher rate charged. (It’s in the fine print) I will be shopping and terminating this contract early, no way I can endure this ridiculous bill and continue to get ripped off.

In the beginning they were okay but they state one thing and do another. I am now going elsewhere for sure. The bills get higher and higher yet nothing has changed in my household. Customer service is horrible.

High prices- very tricky with how they explain your cost for KWH usage. They advertise 12.6 which doesn’t include TDU charges and glad this bill credit if you use 1,000 -2,000 kWh. But actually what’s happening is your paying 17.9 cents per KWH plus TDU 4.8 cents on average 22.5cents per KWH total. It’s not possible with bill credit to even get close to what they of 12.6. Gexa Energy is a scammer! They hike up your bill and blame it on your consumption. It’s only me and my wife in our house. But for some strange reason our bill gets higher every month around this time. Nothing has changed, we still do the same as usual, but the bill went from 200 to 400, now it’s 600. So I guess next month it will be 800 to a 1000!! This is the worse Electric company we could’ve chose. Please let 2025 get here, so this contract would be up.! Don’t choose Gexa unless you like being robbed!!!!!
