The fireplace was nice but you have to use regular wood. You cannot use artificial logs like Duraflame. Cabin 20 was a little cramped. the couch was not comfortable. the bed was up against the wall and the mattress was soft. the staff was available for any problems.

I very clearly booked a 2 bedroom cottage on Expedia and was given a 1 bedroom. The owner tried to push it off as an Expedia issue and offered no solutions other than to check out and stay elsewhere. Eventually offered a partial refund, which we accepted, and later found out she never processed it. Then would not return correspondence with credit card company and we ended up having to dispute the charge.

Golden Bear Cottages and very convenient & close to all the activities. The Cottage was clean. The staff was super friendly. Pet Friendly, I brought my dog and not an issue. The cottages are very dated. They probably have not been updated for 30 years. The front door had holes in it and sun could shine through. Room not very secure, simple locks that could very easily be broken into. No, safe to store laptops etc.. Beds were uncomfortable. Not sure when they were replaced. Check in lady was polite. First night had to call at 11pm because guests decided to play volleyball, play loud music, and use such foul language that my kids should not have been exposed too. Someone came and told the group to quiet down, but as soon as they left the group was outside again making threatening comments. Very scary. I am conflicted about my stay here. It was a nice location, staff was friendly and helpful, the cabins had everything you needed in it, the spa was a fun, and I’m sure most of the rooms are comfortable. We liked our cabin but we were given a cabin that allowed pets (even though we did not bring a pet) so in different areas of the cabin it smelt like dog pee. Poor condition and a lot of hidden fees. Read the small print!!! $25 cleaning fee per day and you have to clean the kitchen. Cottage taxes in addition to regular taxes. Call to find out the final price is my advice!
