We love Grindstone and appreciate you accommodating our party of 22, but we are frustrated that this is the second or third time we've experienced terrible service with a large group. While our server tried their best, management set them up to fail by assigning only one person to our entire table. The timing was a mess—half the group finished eating before the other half even ordered. Most notably, four meals sat on a tray behind us for 20 minutes until we realized no one was bringing them. The music was so loud even sitting in the dining room by the kitchen, we could not carry on a conversation plus a light the group had hanging on the wall was shining directly onto our eyes for two of the four of us the entire time. Manager said he would have the guy take care of it but never did. He kept avoiding us after our request. We cut our Christmas dinner short with friends because of both these issues. Our steaks were cold and service was inadequate The entertainment was great which is why we came. The food has always been very good in our past experiences so we will visit again with hopes for better service

We used come to Grindstone all the time because the food was really good but on this occasion not so much. I ordered the chilaquiles and it was not good. The enchilada sauce tasted like pizza sauce and the chipotle chicken was not even spicy. We sat in a booth and the seats are falling apart. It’s like the owners don’t even care anymore how the place looks or how the food is. Very sad

Was a little disappointed in the food last night. Both my wings and the Pow Wow Shrimp were cold. Also the bourbon BBQ sauce on the wings was runny and pooled on my plate. It seemed to be very different both in consistency and flavor. Finally, the carrot cake was a bit dry and missing the richness that we had experienced in the past. Our server was fabulously kind, fun and attentive.. making it difficult to complain! Hoping these issues with the food wont be repeated.

The food was great, but it took forever for me to get my salad but my table mate had hers in no time. Then for the main meal she asked for her to have no bacon and they brought it with bacon. I think they were going to suggest that she just pick it off. But when she said she doesn’t eat it for religious reasons they decided to fix a new plate which then took awhile. So I had my dinner but waited to eat until hers was brought out so mine was now on the cool side. I know the manager was aware because he looked in our direction... read more

Music guy was annoying. Ordered and waitress didnt write down our order and didn’t get it right. Husband ordered green beans with his sandwich and got fries and I ordered filet sliders and was given cheeseburgers. Then I had to wait over 20 more minutes for my correct food. They apologized but didn’t do anything to fix it on our bill. We have never had issues before but tonight wasn’t great.

Prime rib was the worst that I've ever had. Had to wait on drinks and had to ask if we could order appetizers. I should have had them take back my prime rib.

We had a party of 12 at 4 PM on a Friday. Place was empty when we got there but waitress took forever to come to our table and drinks took even longer to get. We had three meals that were wrong or missing something. I never got my salad and asked for it to be taken off the bill but that didn’t happen. We were headed to a concert and with dinner took over two hours, I just paid for it so we could leave. We will not be back.
