Lunch menu was not available until 2pm only brunch. Which was fine but would have been nice to know. Reserved a high top on open table. Then was told they don’t allow that. Service was incredibly slow and poor. She was just overwhelmed and no one would help her. Manager was more worried about changing the music.
Server didn’t introduce herself, did not speak to us other than taking our order, felt very rushed as well.
Food was night very flavorful and drinks did not taste well.
We had a reservation a requested a table around the perimiter but got seated in the middle of the room with a private party going on up stairs. We as well as 4 other tables asked to be moved, which we were, but it was still to noisy to carry on a conversation. It was not enjoyable. There were 4 of us in our party. One had the fish tacos and they were dry with little flavor. He only ate one and left the rest. My wife ordered the salmon. She requested a salad to replace one of her sides and also ordered brussel sprouts as an e... read more
My wife ordered the fillet slider and pretzels, and both were overcooked. She took one bite out of the slider and couldn’t eat anymore. I had their Paloma and it was the worst Paloma I’ve ever tasted. I ordered chicken wings and was unable to eat half of them. the waitress was very Kurt and never took time to ask how our meal was. We did bring dessert home for our kids and they seem to enjoy the carrot cake, the sugar pie, and the lemon Brulé. The only positive experience outside of the desserts was the kind young man who is... read more

We were there on a Saturday night, where they had live music, but it was not very busy for a Saturday night. It might’ve been an off night, but our waiter forgot to bring ketchup and Tabasco and I had to ask somebody else. Also, I was told there was a glitch in the computer software when I noticed an extra charge for some sauce that was never requested. I feel like if they know there’s a glitch in the software they should check every bill before it goes to a customer to ensure it’s accurate. Overall, I’ve been here several t... read more

This was my second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was just okay, so I gave it another chance. We ate here for Mother's Day brunch. We had reservations and were seated promptly. After ordering, my daughter observed our server on her phone and rolling her eyes. Then, she overheard her tell another server that she hates working Mother's and Father's Day because the tips weren't very good. Now to the food. I ordered eggs Benedict, which were okay, but the yolks were hard. My husband had the omelet, and had to put ... read more

This was our second time at Grindstone. This is a nice neighborhood place with a varied menu of favorites. The food is good and a good value. Our server this time was not good. Although pleasant, he started off complaining that he was busy and seemed less than happy to have another table. He forgot one of our drinks and then ordered the wrong meal for another of our party. At the end he just gave us the bill with no offer for dessert or additional drinks. He seemed to really want us out the door. Overall disappointing but no... read more

The restaurant had a sewage smell. The service was just okay considering a slow night.
