Yes, they are expensive. YES they are worth it. My dog got an acorn lodged in his airways and I had been to multiple facilities and spent so much money only for them to find nothing. I had begged the past places to check his nasal passages they claimed it was "nearly impossible" for the acorn to have made its way there and that they would not check. This is The Mayo Clinic of Vet care. They take great care of your animals . The staff is wonderful from the time you walk in ... if your pet is in need of emergency vet care , if they have a disease or something wrong , Gulf Coast is the place . They have helped out The Maverick two times !!!

Brought my 12 yr old cat in for a leg amputation... I won't bore you with those details, but I wanted to write this review to commend the staff at Gulf Coast Vet! Nathan Squire was the surgeon... he was incredible! I felt completely confident after meeting and speaking with him and his vet tech. The money estimate came right at the beginning so there was no questions about the total cost going into this. I've been here several times with different pets for emergency purposes. Last night we again traversed this familiar path and while the results ended with the loss of my beloved dog named Lily, Dr. Jucker was fabulous and took the upmost care with her.

I want to thank Dr. Cisco Guevara, Dr. Jane Mesna, and Kasey Ambres for taking such good care of my boy, Z. They were thorough, caring, and informative. Dr. Guevara specifically sat down with us, went through the images, and answered all of our questions. They also went above and beyond to make sure they were taking care of Z and were so compassionate. The services are expensive, but you are paying for their expertise and the technology. The facilities, staff, and care at GCVS are all top-notch. It is never under the best circumstances that you have to visit specialized experts in veterinary care, but from the beginning at check-in through the entire visit we were made to feel comfortable. It put us at ease knowing our dog Lenny would receive the best care from such caring and competent people on the entire staff.
