This facility has lots of specialists but beware. You have to ask a LOT of questions to get answers. They always try to get you to spend the MOST amount of money first, rather than making your pet comfortable. I've only been here once. My puppy was having seizures. They recommended an MRI of the brain and spinal tap to test for meningitis. She doesn't have meningitis. She's taking meds that are working extremely well! Prescribed by the neurologist here. We will schedule her MRI with someone else bc it's more affordable! Hope... read more
Dr. Allen was thoughtful, compassionate, and honest-but-kind in his explanations; I didn't feel pressured to make any particular decision, but felt supported in the decision we ultimately made. Kat was upbeat and kind, which was appreciated in the stressful situation.
Three weeks at 4:30 am, my stepdaughter let our dog out to do his business. We live in a well populated area just outside of Houston in Fulshear. Four bright floodlights illuminating my backyard and with a super secure fence...coyotes grabbed my miniature Australian Shepherd by the neck and threw him over the fence. My stepdaughter then knocked on the bedroom door that she couldn't find Ollie. We jumped up and rushed to the backyard and with a bright flashlight, I saw Ollie on the other side of the fence. We quickly discove... read more
@Anne J you sound scorned and bitter, albeit entitled. Karen. I took my cat Keanu here when he got electrocuted in the mouth, and these doctors did everything in their power to make sure he was okay. Everyone was friendly and polite and I'm sensitive to energy. I can pick up on the slightest shift in energy in a person. All these people cried with me and my husband. And I'm sure it was our apparent attachment to Keanu, that out them into full send mode to save his life. Keanu was in there for about 3 days and sent home wit... read more
All was done in a professional manner for my dog Augie. Starting with Brian (spelling?) vet tech who was able to carry my 102 lb dog (Brian is big too!) and did so with gentleness. Professional and friendly. Then there was the woman (forget name) who took Augie's history. Very professional and nice. And Dr. Snook was very forthcoming, friendly, and professional. Only complaint...took a long time. But, I understand there are other emergencies that arise. T hey were able to diagnose Augie's problem and I now have a plan to... read more
Today I accompanied my daughter to collect her beloved dachshund's ashes from GCVS. I just want to say "thank you" for the thoughtfulness and care that we experienced at the clinic. I can't remember the name of the woman who attended us, but it was the small things that just made all the difference in a moment of great sadness and despair. She was kind and soft-spoken, she brought out the bag with two hands. My daughter cried in the car all the way back from Katy to La Porte, clutching the bag with Winston's remains. He was ... read more
First time there and had a great overall experience. Check-in process was fast and got called to the back within 10 mins of getting there. The nurse was super nice and my dog, who is not a big fan of leaving with strangers, even went willingly with her to get her exams done, which was a shocker, but that just tells me she felt safe so definitely put my mind at ease while I was waiting. Also, I couldn't help to notice how everyone seemed to be in a great mood... that usually says a lot about an establishment. Thank you for... read more
We were provided with amazing care from the whole team. We're so thankful our girl was able to be seen and get the treatment she needed. Everyone was caring and always willing to keep us updated. We couldn't have asked for anything better.
Absolutely Amazing staff and care. We called ahead explained the situation- gave them our ETA. When we arrived - all staff were ready. The doctor came and took our snake back immediately! The Paperwork was not long, we were not waiting in the waiting room for more than 10 mins before they got us into a room. We were visually distressed because we thought we may have lost our snake- But the staff was very comforting, calm, kept us well informed. All of my questions and concerns were met. From a frantic, tearful arrival to a h... read more
