We have to wait longer to check in due to carpet being wet and then it never got dried and smell of the from was awful. The person that help us check in was nice and polite but the other people around were unfriendly. Overall, too expensive for the conditions of the building.
Absolute dump What an absolute dump. I can't quite believe that this place is rated "superb". The rooms smell musty, the air conditioning smells of old cigarettes, almost everything in the room is broken or falling apart. The "deep soaking bath" is 12 inches deep, the breakfast is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. It's like staying in a dodgy roadside motel but paying almost £400 a night for the privilege.
Overall, it was not a horrible hotel. I thought the room size was nice. Upon check-in we were not informed that there was no daily maid service. There is a note on the bathroom mirror but it should be part of the check-in process. They only do maid service every 3rd day. Upon confirming that we would not get maid service I requested that the used towels be removed and replaced with fresh towels. Upon returning to the room later that evening they left only one set. I highly recommend to check if there is no bed bugs in your bed before unpacking your suitcase and deciding to stay in the room !!!!!! I found I was bitten by bedbugs a few days after checking in and my feet got so many red spots and thy were so itchy !!!!!!! I threw my T shirt away I was wearing when I slept and put all my clothes in plastic bag before packing for the case if there is any bugs stay in my clothes and not to spread bugs in my rooms when I got back home. The staff was very friendly but the rooms were dirty and they had some kind of portable air conditioner that didn’t keep the room cool at all. The heat was radiating off the walls and felt like an oven. Breakfast was hot and there was plenty to chose from. I would not stay there again being that is was so hot and dated and for what we paid we could have found a much cleaner hotel
The front desk staff is not responsive and not friendly. There is no room service even explicitly asked for
