Get together with family
It’s so sad. This restaurant is not what it used to be. It used to be a friendly, neighborhood hangout place. It feels like a fast casual mess these days. Think chili’s-level service with better decor. We wanted to sit outside but the hostess didn’t seem to have a good grasp on how long ago she sat outdoor tables and told us she wasn’t sure how long we’d have to wait (we had a reservation but outdoor seating is first come first serve.) We loved the venue and sitting outside was great - but we did not expect unbelievably LOUD music pounding!! We could not carry on a conversation at all. For such a nice restaurant, this was really not expected.
Spend more time getting flies away from the table and food than actually eating.. Waited 30 min for food to arrive and food was very disappointing. Did not even finish half the food.. very bad. Don’t waste your time and money.
We dine at The Haven often. The noise level from the bar was somewhat annoying second only to gnats landing in my wine glass and on our dessert. The waiter offered to redo but we passed. Otherwise, we like The Haven and will be back.
So disappointed- all 4 dishes were mediocre. Ordered 2 Cobb salads both with chicken and had to send back the chicken - was greasy and fatty! They brought out another chicken breast that I could have made in a skillet at home. The grilled Caesar salad was not grilled and the salmon was raw… Haven is my go to place for the Cobb and this is the 2nd time it fell short.
From poor service to overly salty or bland food, it seemed like the whole evening was a waste of time as well as money. This was not the Haven I used to know. I recognize we are In unique times but this was just all around a beyond sub par experience. The seating at the table was dirty. There was no coordination between server and bussers. 2 salads were ordered both missing ingredients neither was the same as what was on. The menu and both were different
The restaurant was overbooked and they could not accommodate our 8pm reservation. We waited 40 minutes and then decided to sit at the bar when space became available. The hostess was rude and indifferent. Eating out is all about a relaxing experience and this was anything but. The bartenders were nice and fun and saved the evening giving us great service but we still didn’t get food until after 9pm.
