We have dined at Haven before and absolutely loved it. This visit was good but not outstanding. The appetizers were sub-par. The 'potato hay' is ridiculous. That is to say, the flavor is good but picture a small mountain of cigarette fries, not a 'hay bale' but a giant mound of tiny fries. Why this would be an appetizer, I do not know. My tomato and watermelon salad was lack luster at best; over dressed and watermelon with no flavor. The main courses were all good. It is not inexpensive.
All of Mike Arnette’s restaurants including Haven, Valenza and Annette’s Chip House continually over-book reservations so be prepared to wait 30-90 minutes past your reservation time to be seated. Having eaten at all 3 restaurants several times this is a constant problem on weekends. There are too many other dining choices in ATL who value their guest’s time. Decent food but don’t waste your time because they will’
Pricey. Lovely dinner but $250 for 4 people is a bit much for the experience.
Our server, Emma, never offered bread and I asked after our salads had arrived. We ordered a nice bottle of Chardonnay and after quite a lapse, I asked if we could have a cooler to keep it cold. You really need a water filter as chlorine is very prominent in your tap water. After a 45 minute wait and others who arrived after us had been served, I asked Emma to check on our meals. It appeared as though the order had not been entered but we were told something else, and that the kitchen would be right on our order. When it fin... read more
We lived near haven and come here every once in a while the food is always good but the service has been badd every time we visit the 4 astron the location is good I think it's worth a try but you might run into problems with the service
Restaurant way too loud.
Slow service- had to ask for bread- food marginal- very costly- very small portions- went home hungry
On the basis of brunch last week, this was a major disappointment. Usually a very reliable, enjoyable restaurant but "Sunday Hash, Smoked Short Rib, Peppers, Sunny Side Up Eggs, Smoky Hollandaise" was "Sunday Potatoes" with five tiny scraps of meat.... just a large plate of sauced, diced potatoes.
The menu was limited. We ordered the deviled eggs for a starter...3 halves for $7.00! Delicious, but not worth it. No entree salads. Asked to have the peach and beet salad doubled and to add some vegies. They would not add any vegetables, but did double the lettuce. The salad was literally 90% bib lettuce, maybe 1/2 a thinnly sliced peach and a few shoestring beets for $20.00! Husband's entree was tasty, but small for the $27.00 cost. Thanks, anyway. We have crossed you off our list!
