Started off getting seated at a smaller table for six which would have been very uncomfortable. After protesting, the guy finally acquiesced, unfortunately with an attitude, and seated us at a larger table. Given that the place was pretty empty, his attitude was totally unnecessary!
Begneit. Used to be better. Weren’t hot. Our server was overwhelmed and very cursory. Barely responsive. So unisualfor Haven. My favorite local restaurant.
Chicken and dumplings was not good-WAY TOO salty-couldn’t be finished and no reaction to the mention of this Their prices for everyday dining are too high
Loud and more expensive than expected; waiter brought tast of wine which we enjoyed and marketed it as best selling - we accepted and only realized we should have asked the price before hand - $64! That should have been stated or compared to other like wines...
Service was a little rushed. Food came out before cocktails were finished.
Good food but they have jammed so many tables into the indoor dining room that it was very uncomfortable. The tables were so close together that the servers could not navigate between the tables without bumping into the diner’s. Disappointing for an otherwise good restaurant.
What happened to Haven? Maybe it was just an off night... :( Also, please bring back the grilled Caesar salad!!!
The food was atrocious The mussels were awful Terrible odor and taste. The waitress was very pleasant and took them back and told us she agreed they were not edible We then ordered a beet salad instead which had a few cubes of beets and some lettuce which was fair We had ordered a steak that was cooked poorly and again just fair The waitresses and manager were very pleasant but the food was awful
While we had outstanding service and delicious food, a very noisy table nearby made us finish our evening sooner than we would have liked. Despite our telling the manager why we were leaving early AND another table asking to be moved due to their noise, nothing was said to the offending table which was disappointing. Which customers would Haven prefer to return?
