Nice office, friendly staff, but be prepared to pay for everything. I called the office to schedule a vaccine for our dog and specifically said we'd be coming for the vaccine only. Of course, it was scheduled as a wellness visit, so we had to pay $100 on top of the vaccine cost and sign a waiver declining bloodwork at this time. Our previous vet recommended a wellness visit once a year, which I find reasonable for a healthy pet. Here, they like to do it every six months. I am so thankful for all the care my dog Anyu is receiving at Highland Animal Hospital. I highly recommend them, the veterinarians and staff are wonderful, highly skilled and knowledgeable. Even my dog wags his tail when we come for a visit :)

Highland animal hospital is a beautiful facility with kind, patient administrators, vet techs and our new wonderful vet, Dr Scott! I was 15 minutes late for our initial visit because I didn't look closely enough at my calendar and they were very polite when informed me when I got there and somehow managed to still squeeze us in! As a new customer, moved to Needham a few months ago, was very pleased with the way my appointment went - the facility is very clean which is important to me. Doctor Litra & assistant were very good with my cat Oreo. He went in for his yearly physical - I was a bit nervous going to a new hospital but was very pleased with our yearly visit - as I have been going elsewhere for the last 30 years. I am on my second dog; at the end of life for my Teddy, after trying so much to keep him alive, we had to put him down. They were compassionate, and made it as easy as can be. I love them all: Dr. Giles, Dr. Scott and all the assistants. They are taking care of my little Llasapoo now. I am grateful.

I had to drop off my parents dog here - so I looked up the address and yelp popped up - read some of these and wanted to circle back to give another perspective. As it seems only the negative gets put on yelp and not enough positive. Not an animal owner so I am bit out of my element with the process of drop off. The doctor was great and also the vet tech. They treated my dog like she was their own. They explained everything in great detail so I could understand and make a decision on what to do. I was also able to be there while they did a procedure on my dog, and they walked me through everything they were doing. I had to visit them 2 months later for a completely different issue And they were just as wonderful and compassionate and attentive to my dog. Thank you so much.

Dr Giles took all the time necessary to answer all my numerous questions (due some pre-existing medical issues) on a first visit and follow-up afterward with more information.
