DON'T Toner disaster. Of course I ordered a new Brother toner cartridge because the toner that comes with the printer is meager. But this new cartridge ran out of toner in less than a month. My previous printer that I had for many years till it stopped working, the toner cartridges lasted half a year or more. I tried to order toner directly from Brother but it is currently out of stock,
Read the reviews before you buy. Absolutely loved this printer for the first 11 1/2 months of use. At that point it totally dropped the internet. I took it to an approved Brother repair shop in Troy, Michigan, where it apparently has been residing for the past three weeks. When I took it in, the repair guy said Brother only gives him $60.00 to fix it. Defective Printer Right out of the box printer is defective. First thing I printed with ink on the edges. Fine. Opened and cleaned the drum as instructed on Brother's Troubleshooting site. Cleaned the brand new cartridge as well. Tried to print and exact same problem. See attached photos of the issue.
It defaults to duplex printing - Very frustrating This printer defaults to duplex printing and is very hard to change. That made this printer worthless to me. If you need to print one sided documents, do NOT buy this printer
Horrible instructions, mediocre print My very old, completely reliable HP finally gave out (it was so old there's no driver for it online any longer). For my home office, I needed a fast, b&w laser or laser jet printer that was compact (no taller than 9.5", so it can fit under my stand-up desk). Stop working a year plus 1 month later Of course, it stopped working right after the warranty is void. It will not turn on, no matter what I do.

Doesn't connect to high speed wireless Advertising is misleading. This will not connect to high speed wifi. What is the point of wireless if you have to change wifi networks just to print?
