Worked great, then died 2 weeks after warranty ended Can't get it to power up, basically a $110 paperweight. I don't think we ran more than 50 sheets of paper through it.
Ended up returning Might have gotten a defective printer but when I would try to print would make a weird clicking noise. Tried multiple times ended up returning it.
Not a user-friendly printer This printer is not user-friendly. It's a non-intuitive printer. I've had it for over a year now, and the only way I am able to use it is by adding a paper one at a time to print. It doesn't take paper from the paper tray, instead you need to manually insert just one paper each time you are printing. This means that if you are printing a 50-page document, you will need to insert 50 sheets one at a time. Likes to sleep...a lot When it's awake, it's a great little printer, but if it goes into deep sleep, which it does after a maximum of 50 minutes, it doesn't wake up. Send all the print jobs you want; it just keeps snoring away. Hitting the Go button twice will get it into sleep mode, but it just hits the snooze button, rolls over, and continues to doze. printer jams Cannot get printer to print papers. Keeps jamming.
machine drops dead on a monday morning I bought this printer in March 2019 and for the first year I didn't use it much other than printing the occasional return labels -- I never even needed to reload paper. Since the pandemic, I started to use it more often, and one Monday morning in November, it dropped dead and wouldn't turn on. NO POWER This printer died on my after a year of use, but I rarely use this printer much. It only use to printer label and couple pages for my Kindergaten kid homework.
Brother was a bother WiFi setup was impossible. Maybe something to do with using Apple Big Sur operating system. Did finally get it to work with a USB cable. A considerable amount of time was spend on the WiFi. The quick start guide was totally inadequate and obsolete. Why is there a Pwd on the back of the machine? Never mentioned. Setup was a PITA, Get something else if not tech savvy-See Setup Tips As a printer it’s good... fast and good quality printing for a reasonable price. BUT setup’s a pain!!! As other reviewers noted the setup process is very confusing because you basically have only 4 buttons (Up, Down, OK, and Back) to do everything. (Btw I’m very tech savvy, 30+ yrs in IT and currently work in production support...
