Poor It prints blotchy and with an uninvited line. When I use the letterhead tray it doesn’t feed in straight so the print is on an angle.
Can’t get rid of sleep Well it happened to me too. This printer worked well for about two weeks and now it has decided it wants to go to sleep forever. I’ve tried everything and can’t get it to work. I followed the advice that was written about how to get it out of sleep mode. Did this multiple times… Nothings working. If I wanted a printer that I had a hook up a USB to I would’ve bought one. Beware this is not Wi-Fi

randomly will not print . Just what I needed, prints relativly good. wish there was an on/off switch, don't care for sleep mode. sometimes won't print when I start computer in AM. I have to restart computer than it will print.
Stopped Working at a Year It's such a disappointment that this printer just ceased to work. Planned obsolescence in action. I'm disappointed in the great waste of resources--of money, of plastic, and of energy. Super unimpressed. I minimally used the printer; when it did print the quality was good; I will acknowledge that. Another friend has the same printer and it also stopped working.
Brother code not to support Catalina OS I owned several Brother lasers, but the company chose to orphan my current one when Apple introduced Catalina. WiFi no longer prints.
Disappointing. Trips circuit breaker. Firmware update didn't help. I was really excited to get this printer after seeing so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. It draws so much current when it starts up that it tripped my circuit breaker. I have a modern electrical system. While there are some other things plugged into the same circuit - a laptop and monitor - it's nothing you wouldn't find in a typical home office, and I need my home office printer to, well, work in my home office. Took 6 months to get WiFi working, then it stopped powering up all together. Terrible product experience for me. It took forever to get it to print (first I could only use my phone, then after finally some updates to drivers etc by Brother I got it working). Then, it just stopped powering up at all. They are sending a refurbished printer that will only have an additional 30 days warranty of the 1 year warranty original expiration date, so I am concerned that I will have wasted my time and money on this printer. Printer almost never prints Never wakes up from sleep: always have to turn it off and back in again. We use it wirelessly and it Almost never prints the first time, 8 times out of 10 I have to troubleshoot and clear the queue and try to print again and repeat until I can hopefully finally get it to print. With my kids in virtual school due to the pandemic this is incredibly frustrating because I have to print papers every single day.
