Easily the worst printer I have ever owned It's wireless capabilities are horrible. Will actually print maybe 20% of the jobs I send to it. Constantly having to unplug it to clear it out. Yet other wireless printers in the house have no problems.
Take a PASS have this on a Mac Computer and NOTHING but problems! Goes into Hard Sleep all the time and have hard time getting it to restart, only about 5000 pages in and nothing but poor print quality and the cleaning steps do nothing. Being told to get new drum already?? Looking into warrantee and seriously doubt will replace with same. Defiantly a let down by Brother Printers.
Terrible for Apple Mobile devices Attention Apple users. If you need a printer to print from your desktop or laptop, this printer is fine. I would rate the print quality of small fonts at 8 out of 10. But if you are looking for a printer to print from your apple mobile device, be advised. Your only option is Apple’s AirPrint. And Airprint does not allow you to adjust print quality. This printer is supposed to have a default setting of 600dpi. But everything I printed from my ipad looked about 200dpi, at best. Save your money, don’t buy! Complete trash. Paper jams so much I was starting to think that I had purchased a paper jamming machine. Sending it back!!!
Do not buy! Piece of garbage, stopped working 2 months after purchased and Amazon basically told me tough luck!
Beware of shipping box Thank goodness it wasn’t stolen while I was at work. Mailed in the box from the manufacturer. Was sitting outside for who knows how long with a nice large picture of a printer facing the road.
Good for the length of the included toner cartridge Died with 20 months. While it worked, I had no problems with connectivity over WiFi or otherwise on Windows 7, Windows 10 and many mobile devices. One day it just went dead. Has been behind a surge protector from day one so I can't blame external factors. It just quit. So.. a disposable printer that I'm being forced to buy again because I unfortunately invested in XL toner cartridges as well. Will see if the replacement lasts the length of one of those and report back.
If you need a printer that works, don't bother. Won't link to new computer, won't accept documents to print, Brother tech support seems to be more dysfunctional than their printer. Don't even bother, it is a time waster.
