TECH SUPPORT NOT HELPFUL I WANTED A NEW PRINTER TO WORK ON MY WRITING. FROM DAY ONE THIS ONE HAD TWO PROBLEMS ONE WITH A THICK DARK LINE DOWN THE SIDE, AND CONSTANT JAMMING IN TWO PLACES HAD TO GET TO. I CONTACTED THE SELLER AND WAS TOLD I HAD AN INK PROBLEM CONTACTED. THE SECOND TIME I HAD NO RESPONSE. THIS LAST TIME I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT A SPECIALIST.
Awful UI Simply awful UI. The little (I mean miniscule) LCD display is no bigger than the profile of a small paper clip. Then the manner which you toggle between choices is so unintuitive that it is easy to get to the point of frustration to change simple settings like "page printing on both sides" and the like. Overall a good value but at the price of loss productivity. Not a good biz product.
Usually trust Amazon, second one just as bad as first Second one, goes into deep sleep constantly, hard to figure out, never works. Stay away
This company does not deserve your money! The printer itself is OK. In fact, it "sleeps" better than any printer I have ever had! There are times when splotches don't print properly (I suspect it's the drum that needs to be replaced), but the real problem is the company does not stand by their products. It's not the printer where I had a bad experience, it's fulfillment with the Toner Cartridge. cheated doesnt come with the usb to printer wire for direct connections. every printer ive ever bought has brought its own and this one doesnt. feel ripped off and cheated.
Goid hardware, terrible software. Super printer, EXCEPT the connection software is 100% rubbish. Setup was problematic and WiFi & connection is hit or miss. Ot must be unplugged (popo) before every print job. App firmware is horrifyingly bad.
Great printer - terrible for wireless work When the printer connects to the network the printing is great. It usually needs rebooted and the network key re-entered every couple days. Sometimes it just won't connect. Entering the network info is tedious because you basically and an up-key and down-key to make your way through the alphabet in both cases, 9 digits, and a bunch of symbols. Supposedly you can connect to the printer and enter this information through your computer, but this printer has NEVER accepted that method. ... read more
died after 14 months of minimal usage Don't buy this printer! Worked for 14 months. Used it very, very sparingly for 12 months and more regularly the last 2 months, but nothing outrageous. Maybe 20-25 pages printed weekly for the 2-month period. It was totally adequate while it worked but then it died, suddenly. Warranty is 1 year. Only option is to have it serviced which would cost a minimum of $125 based on the quote from the authorized service center.
Horrible product in every way possible. DO NOT BUY!! Horrible, horrible product. Do not under any circumstance buy this printer. It flat out does not work. I purchased this for my Mother so she could print meeting minutes for her church and other small tasks. After spending 5 hours trying to get it to connect to the internet, which included two calls with Brothers tech team and following their directions, it still would not work.
