Piece of junk I’ve had three of this printers and every one of them the power just went off with in about a year or less buy something else
Terrible experience, huge waste of time, negligent service from Brother After two days the printer went into "Deep Sleep" mode and could not be woken up from it. I called Brother and they verified that the printer was not communicating with my computer and the solution for the problem was for me to buy a cable and forget about wireless printing. Stay away from this brand and this printer The product never functioned properly - even when connected to wifi, the printer would show as offline - and the software couldn’t locate the printer. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software failed. Ended up returning the printer and buying a higher quality brand. Stay away from Brother products.
It was impossible to get it to accept the replacement toner cartridge I liked the price, because all I needed was a relatively fast b/w printer. Never had a problem using it remotely, the whole house could use it. All was good until it ran out of toner!! I've used many Brother printers and they are all easy to replace cartridge. Not this one. UNRELIABLE GARBAGE connectivity and settings This thing is a piece of garbage. Is it connected to the network? Is it not? Who knows? It will literally wake up to print one day and then refuse to print the next. The router sees it on the network. So why can't my computer? Why do I have to go manually wake it up, instead of sending a file to print from my computer to wake it up. It makes no sense. Also, the stupid menu is not intuitive. Horrible Intructions Do not buy this printer if you value your sanity. Menu is horrible. Does not work most of the time. Why can’t these companies make stuff that works.
Garbage!!! Don't buy!! Save your money Stoped working right after the three months return policy expired as couple of other buyers have experienced (March-June RIP). The warranty does not cover the shipping cost like HP or canon does. This is a piece of garbage and should have stick to the canon or hp products which I had great experience with in the past. Now I can't even trash this garbage because it is prohibited in Illinois. Save your money!!!!!
Unfixable error while still on its first ink cartridge We print very little in our home, but decided to spend a little extra on a laser printer. This machine malfunctioned a couple months after its 1 year warranty, but while still on its first ink cartridge. Out of warranty, Brother offered no help once basic over-the-phone support failed. Maybe we were just unlucky with our machine, but I would hesitate to buy Brother again.
This printer is too sleepy.. Worst printer i have had to use ever This printer is always in the sleep mode. Cannot get it out. Every once in a while it comes out of hibernation and starts printing. Some time you can force it to come out of hibernation by rebooting the printer. Good luck if you buy this printer.
