Stopped Working (Abruptly) I originally purchased this printer earlier this year. Worked fine...until it didn't Suddenly died this month/July, no notice, no power; completely dead. (I use USB, no wi-fi). IT support told me it had to do with the power cord/function; corrupt or just imploded; no clue. Great printer while it lasts, but short lifespan We were very pleased with this printer! Perfect for people that don’t print a ton, and the ability to print directly from our phones was awesome. Unfortunately, the printer only lasted about 16 months before it just died (we’d just made it through the included toner drum); it won’t even turn on any longer. Despite the listed two year warranty, failing to power on is apparently not covered within that two year time span. What does the warranty actually cover? We expected better... read more
Never Works We have been fighting with this printer for almost 2 years. It never seems to work when we need it. Settings seem to magically change on their own. It loses the ability to find our computers. Horrible. I am on the search for another printer right now. It will not be a Brother. Wish me luck. Do not recommend it.
never worked! I got this for my mom who lives far away. She never got it to work, so we tried to talk her through it on the phone. Nothing worked. We were going to help when we got out there to visit, but the pandemic prevented that. We had another relative check it out who knows about electronics, and he said it was a bust. Never worked no matter where he plugged it in or any efforts towards troubleshooting. Now it's too late to return it (convenient!) and we're out $100 on a printer that only works as a paperweight.
This terrible printer is impossible to use There is no straightforward way to figure out how to PRINT a DOCUMENT using this printer. You have to keep pushing buttons randomly until somehow, by some inexplicable logic, a document prints. It takes me about 20 minutes of fiddling before I can eventually get my document to print. I'm very disappointed and annoyed - it has to be the most user-unfriendly printer I've ever used.
deep sleep mode trips circuit breaker i would never buy this printer again as when it comes out of deep sleep mode it trips circuit breakers. No way to turn off deep sleep mode on this machine.
Terrible! Broke after a year. Just would not turn on.
Drum completely went out at 6 months! Warranty on drum is only 90 days! The printer cost is $100.00 and the drum is $95.00. That's where they get ya! This isn't the first time we've had drum issues. Customer service is a big waste of time!
Great printer, for just about a year The printer was great, but after a year of low use it won't connect to any of my devices anymore. What a worthless brick.
