JUNK POS not worth the box it came in! Won't print even if it is setup local......... Save your money and go to the library!
This computer is known by Brother to not be compatible with certain modems You cannot use it over wifi if you have an ARRIS or Ubee modem. The company is not trying to fix this problem and offers no replacement/rebate program.
Hard to set up. Not worth the time or energy Really hard machine to set up. Have to call support to be able to use. Shouldn’t have to work in IT to set up a simple printer at home.
Constantly goes into SLEEP mode Overall, it has printing quality, but not useful. Eventually, we had to give it away because it would not print when we needed it to. Not sure why, but it constantly goes into Sleep Mode. There is no way to easily get it out of Sleep mode. We had to unplug-and-plug-back-in to get the printer to print when we needed it. Not useful. Frustrating to have wasted $120.
This printer was a waste After one year of use, this printer started to have printing problem to the point that I can only occasionally get 1 page or two to print correctly. I was so disappointed after having had a Brother Laser Printer that worked for almost 20 years before the drum gave out. Bummer.
Beware of Recommendations! I regrettably purchased this after seeing a stellar recommendation on that site associated with the Big Apple newspaper. This printer would not connect to my wireless network and after hours of frustration and troubleshooting, I had to return it. Apparently this is a common defect and I would not wish it on another unsuspecting victim. Avoid!
This printer just likes to sleep I got this printer to print just a few times. Since then it's just been on strike. I've tried troubleshooting on my own but nothing works. It's the most frustrating printer I've ever worked with. The few times it did print I was happy with the quality. Too bad I can't figure out how to make it print. This printer is going back where it came from.
Complete piece of crap Bought this printer confident that it would be a positive purchase with all of the high rated reviews on Amazon. It has been a nightmare trying to get it to consistently work, wifi is patchy, troubleshooting is useless. a real pain in the butt to get it to print.
You get what you pay for... I was looking for a cheap laser printer, and sure enough, I got one. I mainly use this to print labels and, unfortunately, it jams CONSTANTLY. Not only that, it doesn't print straight 90% of the time. I've wasted so many labels and envelopes due to uneven printing and jams. I do NOT recommend this printer. I would advise you to spend a little more money and get something of better quality. There's a reason this printer is cheap.
