Printer is useless This piece of junk only prints test page. I am VERY UNHAPPY with Amazon at this time and may go elsewhere. Printer will not print any job and is useless I wasted money I cannot afford as I am on a fixed income.
Do not buy this printer This is my second Brother printer. The first one was great and lasted several years. This one is less than a year old. It takes forever to begin printing a document. Sometimes it only prints a few pages of a document and then stops printing before the entire document is printed. This morning I got a message that I needed to load paper into the paper tray, but the paper tray is full. As soon as I use up the printer cartridges, I will buy another printer to replace this one.
never worked, printer would not recognize ink was in the cartridge After purchasing an OEM printer cartridge, the printer worked perfectly. Could not return this because I bought this cartridge as a backup when I bought the printer and the original cartridge lasted longer than the 30 day return window.
Beware Garbage. Under light to moderate use, lasted 38 days and now won't even turn on. Worst printer I have ever owned and now I have to incur the hassle of packing it up and sending it off, at my expense, to a repair shop . Terrible

Avoid this printer like the plague My favorite thing about this printer is having to reinstall it every time I want to use it. It must be installed with short term memory since it always forgets it's connected to my computer, daily. But let's talk about installing it? They don't give you the correct set up instructions. I had to actually call Brother to get help where I was told "yeah, don't use the instructions it comes with." Do yourself a favor, do not get tricked into buying this.
Does not work reliably with linux I keep having to reinstall printer drivers on Ubuntu 18.04 because after a while stuff just stops working. And yes its on same IP address. Once this POS goes into deep sleep thats it, no response no nothing. DO NOT BUY!!! (BTW 1 star is aspirational for this printer, would that I could give it less)
Paper Tray is broken after three months. No customer service. I bought this product April 5th. As of July 23, the paper tray is full but displays "load paper." The brother website is awful in terms of product support, and a printer should last more than three months particularly as I do not use it much. I will never buy a brother product again, as their customer service is non-existent and products do not last.
Worth the purchase It needs to be stated in the instructions that the new purchase of toner is a cartridge that goes into the main cartridge in the purchased printer. The purchased toner does NOT go into the printer it goes into the cartridge that is the printer. So a cartridge goes into a cartridge.
