Bundled toner does not last. Buy extras. The initial toner cartridge only lasted me 485 pages before it started to ask to be replaced. :( The printer otherwise works well.
I need the print to be able to make copies. I did not realize that this printer does not make copies. I need to be able to make copies for my business and this printer was a mistake to buy because it doesn’t make copies.
Doesn't always work wirelessly We have 2 different brother wireless printer models at home. The other one works perfectly with no issues. This one never worked properly since the first day. The wireless setting was difficult to set up where it only shows up in some computers and not others. Even when it does show up, it only prints 30% of the time. I've factory reset it and it still doesn't work. We just resort using the other wireless printer most of the time.

DON'T PURCHASE IF YOU WANT TO PRINT ENVELOPES Printer works fine for everyday printing. Can print from iPhone/iPad while out on porch. Works fine with my 10 year old Mac. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS IF YOU WANT TO PRINT ENVELOPES. Just unbelievable trying to print envelope. You have to manually feed them one at a time. Directions say insert envelope into slot paper guides until the front edge touches the paper feed roller. You can't tell when envelope touches feed roller so envelope is inserted to far. Don't buy it This printer is not worth the aggravation caused by it constantly going into a deep sleep and/or losing wireless connectivity. I finally solved the deep sleep problem (I think) but the failure to connect problem continues. I am still in the warranty period so I want to return it for a refund. I cannot find any information as to how to do that on amazon.com.
Won't purchase a Brother Printer again. Ever. This is truly the worst printer I've ever purchased. Can't print over the network without having to power it down from the sleep mode it won't wake up from, none of the current drivers downloaded from Brother website will install. I'm fairly tech-savvy and this was the worst printer experience I've ever had. I'm sending it back for a refund.
Horrible! Horrible printer. Will not stay “awake” long enough to pull up your print project, must unplug from the wall and restart because it won’t “turn off”, and now that we have moved, it won’t connect to WiFi at all. Huge waste of money!
Won't turn on after 7 months Getting the printer set up was a pain but I powered my way through it and somehow, after a half-a-day later was able to get it connected to the Wifi by means I doubt I could ever replicate.
