WiFi compatible, but not hard-wire Ethernet I wish I could have hard-wired it to my router (Ethernet) instead of WiFi only. USB to router failed, never bothered tech support. If I'm not geek enough to figure it out, I doubt they are.

Difficult to assemble An absolute headache and nightmare to assemble and put together. Not user friendly at all. Broke the drum unit upon installation due to extreme difficulty of installation. I am a degreed engineer and I will be returning this ASAP.
Little disappointed Very loud.
First time with Brothers printers and last. I was panning to print documents remotely, Usually HP printer give you a eprint email address and you can email documents and be printed without computer connection, usually don't connect printer to computer, My job required me to be in different places but this printer doesn't, If you plan to print wireless don't waste your time. Costumer support the worse.
A frustrating device. This has been a disappointing printer. Printing has been inconsistent and plagued with issues. Despite having the printer only a few months and having few successful prints, the machine is now demanding a new Brother toner cartridge and will not print. I would advise to pass on this item.
DIED Printer died in six months. What a joke. At least make it last a year.... The brothers these replaced lasted ten years.
Don't...just don't This is a cheap printer at a not-so-cheap price. I'm not talking about the basic features (e.g. B/W only, small display, no copy function). I expected this because I wanted a printer for occasional use. I'm talking about the following issues: 1) I cannot open the front compartment without using the back of a hammer (every single time). Leaves paper bent and crushed Bought this as a replacement for my older reliable Brother 2230DW. It needed enough new parts and a new cartridge that I thought I'd just treat myself to a new version of my printer. Well, it's terrible. It was easy to set up on the network, got it working with all computers in just a few minutes. I printed a test page and was disappointed to see that the paper that came out was curled a bit.
