Defective -- will not print wirelessly -- Brother couldn't fix and refused to refund Defective printer. Will not print wirelessly. Or sometimes prints hours later. I've called Brother twice for nearly an hour each time and they were unable to fix problem. Brother also would not give me a refund for printer (purchased within the year) or extra toner cartridges. I haven't had similar problems with an HP and I have to switch to Samsung now. Thanks for nothing, Brother.
Spooler does not work properly for duplex printing - no troubleshooting available for issue. See attached video. The printer will not print duplex at all because the paper gets jammed every single time it tries sending it back through.
Ugh...the ink!! Brother really sucks in the fact that even though you still have ink it won't print and insists that you change the cartridge. Years ago, once HP would indicate I was low on ink, I would change the cartridge. Then I realized that I should just wait until the print started fading, etc before changing it. Yes, maybe I would waste a couple of pages of paper but my gosh, I would get so many more prints before I HAD to change the cartridge. Regular toner cartidge good for only about 500 pages Well the starter printed 150 pages. The regular about 500 and the replace toner messages started. Its not Amazon's fault they did what they promised. Just a rip off printer. I have one more full cartridge so after that 500 sheets the printer goes in the dumpster and I buy a Canon.
Carttridges are a scam! I printed only 150 pages on my first cartridge before it asked me to replace. the whole effing point to buy a laser printer vs an ink jet is so you can print more without replacing cartridge. also the extra cartridge that Amazon bundled with my printer is not compatible with this printer! yes there is a microchip on each cartridge. I bought a laser printer to avoid the ink jet cartridge scam but I can confirm it's not different with a brother laser printer. F them.
Get it! Had it 8 months, no problems and still haven't changed the toner
It works 10% of the time It literally never works!!!! It always freezes in the middle of a job... and theres no errors on my desktop or the printer as to why it's not printing. Piece of junk.
This product is crap First, all instructions and wireless syncing are on a CD disc. Which is great if you have an older laptop, but most laptops or tablets don't come with them anymore. This means you must use their website. Online assistance is confusing and complicated. Finally, I called tech support with two issues: the wireless integration and what I was printing (through a USB hardline) had a 1/2" wide black toner line down the left side of the paper vertically. Product Review I use this to print pre printed and numbered checks. I could not find anything close to the price that works as well. I use an inkjet for photos and a color copier for my other business communications. One problem I had with this printer that anyone would have with any laser printer is that the checks come numbered with the topmost the lowest when face up.
