Only Brother toner cartridges will work Okay, so I bought the bundled package, the printer and the recommended extra toner cartridge and paper. However, once I used all the original toner up and replaced it with the new Arthur cartridge, it kept giving me "cannot detect toner cartridge". I tried resetting it (hard reset) with no luck, I bought two additional toner cartridges from Amazon that said they were compatible with my 2350DW but NONE work. Make sure to turn off Deep Sleep and set Toner at Continue This is a fairly easy printer to set up, even for a girl like me who is not super tech savvy. I literally followed the instruction manual to a T and it worked. My laptop is the 12" gold Macbook running on version 10.11 El Capitan. It took me several minutes to figure out how to enter my wifi password into the printer without the key pad! (just keep pressing the up/down button until you reach a letter you want, then OK). Stupid "deep sleep" mode I bought this and connected it to a macbook. It constantly goes to "deep sleep" and "sleep" mode so that you CANNOT DO ANYTHING other than turn it off and on again. It is really annoying.
What the hell?!!! I received this on Sunday of Jan. 13, 2019. Today is Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019. I used the printer maybe 4 times thus far and got a humming noise when I tried to print 30 minutes ago. It read on the small display that it was doing a self diagnostic and will take 15 min. Just stopped turning on. No reason for it.
Refuses to connect to WiFi Piece of crap will not connect to WiFi no matter what we do. The instruction screen is infuriating, keeps saying "timed out" then makes you click "OK" and just goes to sleep. No idea if it's a good printer because we can't use it!!!
It would be great if you could use it! Hooking this thing up to wifi is just about impossible. 12 pages in the manual go over it. Think this might have to go back!
Get something else if you need manual feed After telling other people to read Amazon reviews, and don’t buy a product with over 20% reviews that are one or two star, I’ve violated my own policy and bought this printer. The print quality is decent, other than leaving flecks of toner on every sheet. But the worst part is the manual feeder. Others have commented about this.
