    have a USB TYPE A cord handy FINAL UPDATE: be prepared to pay $55 to have it set up if you don't have a tech savvy daughter who can figure it out. Still don't have WIFI hooked up, but I prefer the direct connection anyway, so I will upgrade it to a THREE STAR i will let you know later if i ever get it running but the set up process is TERRIBLE if you don't know your ROUTER WPS button and how long to hold it or have the SQUARE USB cord for printers...i cannot figure out how to set up the printer before the DVD gets used or an... read more

    the instruction panel is too small for eye sight issues the panel is much too small and complicated for me to see and use , I've had this printer for months and still waiting for someone to set it up to the wifi since it came without cords ... in the past 27 years I've had numerous printers, this is the most difficult to maneuver .. yes , yes, I'm wearing reading glasses now and still not solving this issue. Where is a usb that works with this printer and my imac, ????? maybe then I can bypass the wifi ... there is no driver... read more

    OK at best - software drivers are not stable I have a Macbook pro, a surface pro and a android device (samsung galaxy s9+). So my devices range the gammut. I did not get this printer working for windows device and the only way I got it to work with the other two devices was by inputting the printer as an IP device. To do this you have to manually look for the IP from the network menu on the printer itself and input that IP on the mobile app or mac brother app you are using.     Broke within 3 months - Line in drum Thought this would be a great printer... after 3 months, the wifi/bluetooth connect does not work anymore. Had reset it several times... and only works for 1~3 times and then stops again... Would not reccommend.

    Oh, Brother! Spent 2 hours plus trying to simply hook it up to my Mac and have it work, and it won't do it. No written instructions and the setup disc bounces you around to all sorts of different screens, and some have blue "thermometers" which make the trek from a dot to a completed blue line, and then things just sit there, no "continue" or "you're finished", and the only operational button is the back-screen. Of course, no dropdowns with the nature of the problem, either, so you're completely on your own to figure it out.... read more

    Always OFFLINE Cannot connect wirelessly. It was working for a few months, now it won't connect. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times. I've factory reset the printer also. It will wirelessly print 1 time. Then later in the day, it will be offline. It won't come back from being offline. And the only remedy is to reinstall everything. Horrible printer.

    Printed fuzzy and pixelated with Mac & Adobe programs Printed well with Word document, but printed fuzzy with Adobe Acrobat and Mac Preview App.

    Extremely temperamental, fails to print very often This printer was well reviewed on Consumer Reports, but it has been a nightmare. If I want to update its firmware, I have to bring my laptop over to the computer and get a cord to plug my laptop into the printer. I should be able to update the printer's firmware over the WLAN, but that nearly always fails. It's a fine printer when it works, but it's a headache when it doesn't.

    Not working Works from time to time. It is much easier to just go to fedex and print than using this terrible laggy printer. Never buy this
