Wrinkled/creased printing Can't resolve this issue; use two of these. 24 pound paper seems to work a bit better. Brother refuses to address this issue. Next printer, when the drum or toner goes, will NOT be a Brother.

Burning Smell If we print any more than a few pages the printer starts to smell like it is burning. Would not recommend this product.

worked great until it didn't The fuser unit failed in seven months of operation. A new fuser unit costs as much as a new machine so the "old" machine goes to the landfill. I really hope this was only a failure of a part and not a bigger failure of brother.

Printer Never printed I purchased this model to replace the same model printer that I was using so, I didn't attempt to put it in service until my old Brother HL-L6200DW stopped printing. So when I took it out of the box and installed it a message read: "Self Diagnostic. Will Automatically restart in 15 minutes" Despite several attempts of turning it off and waiting 10 minutes and starting again - I got the same message. after googling the problem I was instructed to take the printer to an authorized service center for repai... read more

Out of the box, it twice blew my circuit breaker. I set it up. Each time I tried to print a page, it blew the circuit breaker. I have never had a laserjet printer do this. I will return it.

Worst printer I've ever bought Worst printer I've ever bought! Cannot configure it to a MAC, the EPSON next to it was configured in less than 10 minutes to a network. No support for this machine do NOT buy it.

MANUFACTURING DEFECT - CREASES PAGES - DO NOT BUY As others reviewers have stated, this model has a known issue of creasing pages. I manage the I.T. for our CPA firm and have purchased about a dozen of these units and ALL of them (yes, ALL of them) have exhibited this problem. Some printed only 500 pages before the problem began and others took 10,000, so it just varies. Any replacement from Brother would exhibit the same problem as it is a manufacturing flaw, so I didn't even bother with replacements as it isn't worth my ti... read more

I have been a loyal Brother printer user, but ... I have been a loyal Brother printer user, but I'm not sure why. I keep replacing units that stop working. This one is still going a year later, but it wrinkles paper once in a while and it has been smearing. I will replace the drum to see if that fixes it, but the drum doesn't have enough pages on it to need replacing. Very disappointing.

Receiving data... Something has changed. We bought our first 6200 2 years ago and it still works like a champ. We have purchased 2 more over the last year and they have both failed with the "receiving data" message on the screen. We thought that the first time it happened that we probably just ended up with a lemon and now the newest printer, just a few months old is doing the exact same thing. It will sit on that message "receiving data" for hours and will never print anything.
