Honeymoon Chicken Born from the playful culinary philosophy “where funky meets fancy,” Honeymoon Chicken takes the art of fried chicken to a new level of sophistication and creativity. The chef-curated menu is crafted by the illustrious king of BBQ, Chef Rob Sonderman, who first graced DC with his low and slow meat cookery at Federalist Pig. Best described as a love letter to the delicious majesty of fried chicken.

Loved the space inside! We sat at the bar and ordered through the QR code. I got the red hot dusted tenders, Mac and cheese and a honey butter roll. The tenders were good and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The sauces were also really nice and you're able to ask for more if needed. I loved the Mac and cheese, and the honey butter roll was so warm and fresh. I think I liked the sides more than the main itself. For dessert we tried the smores hand pie and thought it was amazing! It was warm and flaky, and the filling ins... read more
Very good fried chicken! They actually have a huge menu of classic fried chicken and tenders, plus sandwiches and a rotating menu of different specials. Everything is really good, but my favorite menu item is the boneless chicken tenders. The sauces are all great and there's a range of spice options if you want mild, spicy or extra spicy. The sides and the rolls are all very good and love the wedge fries -- some of the best I've had in DC!
The halal fried chicken here is hearty and filling, with a good, solid flavor. While it might not be the best fried chicken I've had, the generous portions definitely make up for it. Plus, the staff are super friendly and welcoming--definitely adds to the experience!
This spot is a true gem. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. But what really takes it over the top is their hot honey dust--it's amazing! It's sweet, spicy, and just the right kick of heat to elevate every bite. A heads up: they don't take reservations, so expect a wait--especially since the place is always buzzing and the seating is very limited. But trust me, it's totally worth it. You order through a QR code at the table so it's very hands off. Sauces are $1 extra but are much needed! We always co... read more
The chicken is to die for!! Very juicy and flavorful. Service and ambiance is like you're in an old town somewhere in Montana!
Omg! It is so good! I especially like chicken and waffles. I'm in heaven! It is worth it! Strawberry lemonade is the best, and I can refill it again! This is my third time already!
This place has the efficiency of a fast casual restaurant but the charm of a local corner cafe. The food was very good (I appreciate that the spicy was indeed spicy) and the sweet rolls were so soft--they practically melt in your mouth! The servers were very attentive and accommodating and the food was nicely plated and reasonably priced esp in this economy. Will definitely be back!
Very very good food. The chicken sandwich was great and the wedfes ere seasoned very well. Definitely need to try it.
This place was ok a bit overrated and under seasoned :( we had high hopes for this place but service was slow and everything was underwhelming
