Would not recommended this hotel!! The lady who checked us in was very delightful, but check in was at 4 and it was after 5 before we actually got a room. So we waited over an hour for them to clean our room and when we walked in their were wrappers on our floor and TOILET paper in the toilet..( we would of checked back out, but truck was broke down and couldn't get a new breakline till Sunday morning) then we opened curtain to see the view of downtown the whole thing came down, track and all. The hotel was beautiful when you walked in to the lobby. But that's where it ended . I have never been so upset by a hotel. The pictures are deceiving ! Yes while they might look like the pics ,BEWARE! Upon getting off the elevator on the 5 th floor the lobby had stained carpeting and starting to look as though it was pulling away from the. Walls . Well we used to like to play, there till today when a colored lady wants to discriminate my husband because of the shirt he was wearing first off its a Nike shirt and it's a casino where you have to be 21 to enter and this is what the shirt says "sucking sucks run faster" really when after she told us that a colored lady walks in with a shirt that says just hooking okay really? I redeemed a free 2 night stay for July 5th and 6th. I don't live in St. Louis. When I made my reservations, I was told $50 deposit, not per night. I got there, couldn't pay my deposit in cash, so I go and load $100 on a card and goes back to the Lumiere. Card declined, thinking not enough funds cause card charge for use. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Teresa at the front desk is so unbelievably rude. She is refusing to check us in or answer any questions. If I could find another hotel at this late notice I would. I can't believe this type of behavior is ever acceptable.
Definitely would not recommend this place at all. I went to Wok last night and was basically refused service. The manager said the dining room was only thing open. I asked him if I could place an order to go. He told me no because he would have to open another part and then he would have to work both sides. I guess it was asking too much to place an order and instead of having them put it on a plate, have them put it in a to go box.
