Weekend Getaway The room is very outdated and the furniture needs to be updated or replaced. The cabinets were practically falling apart and the carpet was also dirty. Our room was freezing the day we arrived and did not warm up past 67 degrees. We had to request extra blankets and sleep in sweatshirts and sweats. However, the maintenance man was super nice and in no way a reflection on him. He tried to help us as much as he could. i will not be staying here again. Very disappointed with my stay.
La verdad no quede muy satisfecha con el servicio e información por parte de los empleados del hotel. Tuvimos q adelantar el viaje debido al virus mundial, y el de recepción me informa que me devolverán las noches q no utilice y el impuesto de resort, llego a mi país y no fue así, me devolvieron menos noches y aún así sin utilizarlas y si me cobraron el impuesto de resort! The hotel itself is very trendy, in a great area in midtown just off Lexington Avenue, making commuting to all the popular tourist areas a breeze while also being able to avoid the large tourist crowds! However, the service of the hotel let it down, We had an issue with a lack of housekeeping for two days which when we complained was rectified by the hotel duty manager swiftly with compensation and a goodwill bill credit gesture. Review your credit card bill carefully after staying at this hotel! Although I booked and paid in full through Travelocity, I found out they also charged again for the complete stay again on the card given to them for "incidentals". They keep claiming the additional charges were already refunded to Mastercard... when I paid with a Visa! Maybe they are hoping that some people will not check their credit card bills and they can double their profits. Now I have to deal with the credit card company to do a chargeback.
Hotel is nice but be aware of charges The main page states 'free breakfast' but there is a $60 fee added to the nightly charges. If you are using price as a consideration, be aware the amount advertised does not include this 'see small print for additional detail or extra charges' which you will also not find on the main page. Information (time and place for breakfast and other useful info) is supposed to be given to guests by staff when they check in sadly the girl who checked us in did not tell us any of this resulting in us missing breakfast first morning and we new nothing of the free all day coffee or wine hour until we over heard another guest being checked in as we were waiting for our ride to the airport as we were leaving.
