Seems as though this clinic does not care for the welfare of the animals brought to them. Allowing someone to take a dog home after being the only reason they were brought in to begin with even when a seizure warrant was issued/in progress. I sure hope people think twice about bringing animals to your clinic since y’all obviously don’t value their lives as much as you probably value a paycheck.

Business response:

We had an emergency come in two days ago. A heat stroke brought in by the owner according to her. We had no reason to suspect otherwise. The person shows up to pick up her dog and we released the patient to the person who sought emergency care. Had action happened the day of admission rather than while the owner was picking up we would have released the dog to an officer. We had no documentation upon release of the patient that it belonged to anyone other than the person who brought it in.

I-20 Animal Medical Center condones animal cruelty. Little Archie in the picture below was left in a car, not running and windows up, on 8/3 by Denise Lafayette. By-standards and employees of a near by business saw Archie was in distress and removed him from the car by any means necessary. Animal Control was called but they would not make it in time for him to stay alive,so an employee of the near business took him to the shelter. The shelter then released to the owner of the car and she was to take him directly to the vet... read more

They had a dog from my rescue in their care that didn’t belong to the person who brought him in. Proof was presented to them she didn’t own him and they said only she could pick up. A FWPD detective told them he was getting a seizure warrant and they still released to this woman. Warrant was issuing same day.

ON 6/19/21 I TOOK EL CHAPO INTO THE VET BECAUSE HE WAS NOT EATING AND HAD RUNNY POOP. THEY DID AN COCCIDA AND PARVO TEST THE FIRST COCCIDA TEST CAME BACK NEGATIVE THEN THE PUP TOOK A POOP IN THE OFFICE AND IT CAME BACK POSITIVE AND THE PARVO TEST CAME BACK POSITIVE. THEY GAVE ME MEDICINE FOR THE PUP FOR 7 DAYS AND SAID HE SHOULD BE FEELING BETTER BY THE FOLLOWING WEEK BY TUESDAY. I WAITED UNTIL I HAD FINISH THE MEDS FOR THE 7 DAYS TO SEE IF I WOULD SEE A DIFFERENCE AND THEY WASNT ONE. I CALLED ON MONDAY AFTER AND TOLD THEM I... read more

Business response:

You asked to sign over and we found someone else to pay the veterinary bills because you were unable to endure the costs. We cannot offer the same quality of care in your home without our professionals and equipment. We do not offer follow up information once someone else assumes responsibility and ownership. You didn't let Ashley know that was the situation and that is why she was unable to help you. Our records close just like with a closed adoption. It is up to the person who takes responsibility if they wan tot reac... read more

3 and half hours waiting they finally give me room for my dog .then I waited 20 more min in room no one came and I just walked away .stay a way from this place the front desk people are horrible. I promise you I will call the better business and I will call the costumer affairs and if my dog get really sick I will take you to cort God dame idiots

Business response:

Will you please look into the burden that has fallen on the veterinary field? We are trying to be here to help every pet and not turn them away but other clinics are saying they are at capacity. The front desk people are all working way beyond their shifts to try to help people and the back staff is as well.

Very rude staff and very unprofessional.

Business response:

How do you handle a client who will not follow the rules we have to follow and then calls us names and berates us for that. One of the girls grandfather dies that day in the hospital from COVID while the other one is under severe restrictions due to a family member and COVID fear. We require masks and our staff wears them for 12-15 hours at a time. It is exhausting and almost sickening but it is a requirement until all our staff has had the opportunity to be vaccinated. Once we were referred to as Nazis we felt this was... read more

It takes over an hour to see a vet even when you make an appointment. When my cat got spayed I had to keep calling for the blood test results, and then they said she didn’t need a follow up appointment since she didn’t get sutures that needed to be cut. There is definitely a suture that needs to be cut so I brought her in for them to cut it when I brought my other kitten in for his shots. I am so upset with their lack of communication and their absolute disregard for people’s time. Don’t make appointments if you don’t in... read more

Business response:

We are sorry to lose you. We are trying so hard to figure out a way to handle so many emergencies. There number of emergencies is far surpassing the amount of clinics. No one even understands why this is happening. We just do not want to tell someone who has a dying animal that we cannot help them. I am so sorry it affected your visits and your opinion of us.

We took our sick cat here they did a URD panel and stated we would know the results in 24 hours. 8 days later we still have no results. I talked to the manager and asked for results or a refund and she stated she couldn’t do either cause the only vet that could give us the results wouldn’t be back till 7pm tomorrow (Sunday). We have had our cat in isolation for this long to keep him away from the other cats. A manager (Ashley) said she couldn’t give us a refund on the test even though it had been 8 days. Evidently she doesn... read more

Business response:

We sent out for the test results but gave the treatment plan and medications associated with the suspected cause. We do this to get your baby on the medications that will help them faster. The medication and treatment plan was anticipated correctly and the test confirmed suspicions. We hope your baby is feeling better and I am sorry that we were unable to get a refund you for the test. The lab who does the testing doesn't offer guarantees for turnaround and we have no testing centers that offer refunds for wait times ... read more

I honestly believe they took advantage of a bad situation for financial gain. They could never tell me exactly what was wrong with my little guy. Treated him for something they didn't know for sure he had and sent us home. 3 hours later I had a dead puppy in my lap. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE IF YOU THINK THEY HAVE PARVO.

Business response:

We did the treatments you approved then you left without paying. We were so busy and still worked you in and cared for your patient for you to leave without payment. We are sorry for your loss however a patient at this level of need should be hospitalized. If you do suspect Parvo in you pet please get them in as quickly as possible- the earlier the better chance we have to save them. Again we are sorry for your loss we do understand the heartbreak with losing a loved pet.
