Japanese Auto Masters was founded in 1982 by Tom and Cindi Potter in a small shop close to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Tom originated Japanese Auto Masters to address the needs of consumers driving Japanese-made vehicles at a time when there were no independent repair service centers that specialized exclusively in all Japanese makes and models. We also service all Domestic vehicles as well.

Excellent as always.
Business response:
Thanks for the business Roy; always a pleasure doing business with you. tp
Always friendly, good service. Clean, cosy waiting area. They don't push you to get things you don't need.
Business response:
Patricia, We appreciate your business. You'both have clearly raised a responsible and caring son and we are glad he is with us here. We look forward to the treats you bring in, as they are always tasty. Thanks, tp
Clean and friendly environment. Everyone was pleasantly nice.
Business response:
Thanks for the words of encouragement and may everyone have a sweet Valentines day Saturday.
We've always trusted JAM to check our vehicles during routine maintenance to find the things not obvious to us ...like the license plates light bulbs and other details like the lump on the inside of the tire making the noise no one else could hear but me . Just goes to show how through and responsible they are and how much they care about their customers.
Business response:
Paul, It doesn't get much better than this. It truly is in our wheelhouse to assure our customers vehicles are safe to operate, and it is my position that if I employ conscientious technicians who care as much about our customers vehicles as they would their own, then ultimately our customers will understand and appreciate that fact. With this said, we sincerely appreciate the kind words and look forward to serving all your vehicle needs.
Everyone was exceptionally nice. Information flow was great. Everything costs money. And is expensive. Get over that, great place to take your vic
Business response:
James, It was unfortunate your first experience with us had to be the engine replacement in your vehicle. Don't know if you were aware, but what came apart in your old engine (rod nut loosened and fell off) should never have happened under normal circumstances. Just the same we are here to make sure the job was done correctly and back the warranty on the new engine. We prefer to keep our customers as well as maintain their vehicles. A sincere thanks for your business.
Completed replacement of driver's side window motor was completed in a much shorter time than expected. Car door interior looked as if was never even removed and noticed the remanents of clear protective plastic remaining from the factory was gone. Only negative comment I have is the initial estimate I received over the phone was much less than the actual. I do appreciate the fact that you use new vice refurbished parts.
Business response:
Jim, I wasn't here when the original estimate was provided, however in reviewing the information in the revisions area of your file I see where we likely provided the 1st estimate utilizing an available, but lower quality- (read that prone-to-fail) unit. Joe was unaware of the quality issues we were having, but when the tech informed him, that was when we were compelled to revise the estimate. In the end we are confident you will be happy with the quality and service and we can feel better that this should not be a job we ha... read more
replaced the cabin air filter.
Business response:
Many folks aren't even aware they have a cabin air filter. They really should be changed at least once a year. Critters can hide in these filters during the cold months even if your car is parked inside, so its a good idea to change them every Spring.
As always, professional, courteous and prompt. Thanks.
Business response:
Thanks Doug, and I am working diligently on the Differential for the Plymouth.
I'm glad my wife discovered you folks. when my friends are having problems with their oriental cars, I'll wholeheartedly recommend you to them. Bravo Zulu!(that's" Well Done " in Navy talk). Good Bye to Little Joe's. George N. Kidd, LCDR, USN (Ret.)
Business response:
I somewhat understand the Navy talk; Father was a bubblehead....retired LCDR. Thanks for entrusting us with the care of your vehicles, and thanks for the comments. FYI we also do the domestic vehicles. Thanks again for your business.
