Japanese Auto Masters was founded in 1982 by Tom and Cindi Potter in a small shop close to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Tom originated Japanese Auto Masters to address the needs of consumers driving Japanese-made vehicles at a time when there were no independent repair service centers that specialized exclusively in all Japanese makes and models. We also service all Domestic vehicles as well.

Thorough evaluation of vehicle. Good communication about repairs needed and recommendations for further work not necessarily needed at this time. Cars are not cheap to fix these days so honesty and skilled work are much appreciated and found at Japanese Auto Masters. I will return.

I was a first time customer after a disappointing experience from a Toyota local dealer. Your shop fixed my car with the OEM part, for less money, with no excuses or unnecessary recommendations on a Friday afternoon! Your service advisors communicated clearly regarding the proposed work and your initial repair estimate was on spot. Honesty is so important in this business for establishing long term customers, and I had a great first impression.

Very thorough overall inspection of newly purchased pre-owned 4Runner. Completed on time, very good value.

Have been bringing my cars here since 2009. Never had a problem. JAM is consistently fair, high quality, competitively priced, honest and professional in all respects. The staff and mechanics are straight shooters. They treat you like family. They have my complete trust and confidence. I highly recommend them for all aspects of repair and maintenance.
